Can we please create an adult fan section. I'm not interested in using profanity or posting explicit material, I just get tired of neg reps or juvenile comments and reactions by fellow posters.

I've enjoyed reading, then eventually becoming a participant on this forum but I'm tired of conversing with kids. If I wanted to do that, I'd work in the public school system.

Can we create some sort of separation, maybe 18 and over, maybe 30 and over, or maybe by education level?

I know this whole idea sounds bad. I just wish there was a place on this forum for sophisticated chat that couldn't be meddled by juvenile comments. Maybe create a Johns Hopkins forum, for those working in a Hopkins facility or attending school/alumni? It is one of top schools in the nation, #11 actually, better than a couple of Ivy schools.

Ideas are welcome or you can give me a bunch of neg reps, which is often the case.

Wow, this is entirely insulting.

We're here to be fans, not profess elitism.

You talk about juvenile comments but yet in your post alone you make a few juvenile comments yourself.

In example: Calling people "kids" because of how one posts isn't exactly a compliment.

You want an adult forum but yet in a sense, in your post, you're not really acting like an adult yourself but more like as you put it and I quote ... a "kid".

Sorry mods if this is against the TOS, you may warn me or what not.

We've discussed something like this in the past, but to be honest, it just isn't viable nor is it something we'd want to pursue.

The two biggest reasons are that it would create more work for the Mods (even if more Mods were to be appointed), and it wouldn't eliminate the problem of "juvenile" comments...largely because many of those comments, believe it or not, are made by adults, not children. There are very few teenagers that are registered here that post regularly. Even then, a lot of those teenagers are more mature than many of the adults that post.

Remember, maturity and age are NOT mutually-exclusive.

Oh my gosh, my entire perspective on these forums was a complete misconception -- here I thought we were showing up to discuss the Ravens, football in general and just to have fun. I didn't know there was a suit & tie required.

I graduated high school. I graduated college. I'm 28-years old. I'm an engineering estimator for an automotive/consumer electronics/medical plastics maker. I've been married for 5 years this Halloween and I have three children.

Do I meet the requirements for your "over 18 club"?

Feel free to state how 'juvenile' my retort is.
