Suga Ray Lewis.

i think 21-30 will be where we see the rest of the still active players who will probably be on the list: Ray, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady
Ha, slipped right by me..... I thought, for a minute, dude meant Suggs (given his forum name and all). I was going to laugh hysterically if so. I like Suggs, he's just clearly not on this list.....yet :)

The lad from London even knows who Suga is, CMON MAN!
haha, i followed it before but the london games have done wonders for the game over here. the NFL is huge!

Why do I have a feeling that Brady is gonna be listed 1 spot ahead of Ray Lewis? :eyes:
i'm unsure, i think Ray might end up the top ranked active player unless the usual Manning and Brady love continues

Manningitis has a firm hold in the media and Brady will probably make the top 15 by virtue of his position and his wins. Ray might be the best non-qb active player.

Here is the updated list of Top 100, next week they do 21-30 which is where I think we will see Suga. Bruce Smith at 31 is a bit odd, the man should be top 15 IMO.

He has a right to be upset. Yes, tackling was never his strong suit but the man missed 4 games during the '94 season and still won DPOY. You think about all the big plays he made as a returner, on offense and the fact that for a good while, he was playing baseball as well. It's ridiculous to have him at #34.

Oooooooh think I'll go watch the Jonathan Ogden segment again (for about the fiftieth time since it was released).

Come on, guys...you really think Rayray WON'T be on the list? I'm actually more curious to find out where Butkus is going to end up on the list. Neither of the two have made an appearance yet.

Ray will be #5, maybe 4
I doubt it. I can see Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Jim Brown, Lawrence Taylor, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Reggie White, Emmitt Smith and possibly others ahead of him.

There are a lot of old sports writers voting on these lists and a lot of them aren't and don't try to be objective.

Any bets on where Anthony Munoz might show up?
I'm going to say he's in the top 25.

I'm interested to see where Ronnie Lott, Randy Moss and T.O. are placed.

Oh yeah...where to place Lott? And Johnny U?

Nice to see Gino Marchetti's on the list.

I just watched the video for Jonathan Ogden on the site. Michael Strahan had me in stitches talking about being bitter about Ogden making him look bad.

I have no idea where Unitas will be placed. There are just so many names running through my head about who will be in the top 30, it's impossible to know who'll be ranked where.

Peyton and Brady top 5?
Probably not and I don't think either of them deserve to be in the top 5.

Moss is already on the list at number 65 I believe.

I also agree with you on primetime, I would have him in my top 15 as well most likely.

It's kind of a rip that there are 67 players on the list that are on offense, only 33 on defense. So if Ray is in the top 30 that means he is in the top 10 greatest defensive players of all time.

I think there are 18 QB's on the list.

Id be thrilled if they put a 1 in front of those numbers......#4 or 5 will not happen.

You're right, I forgot Moss was on the list. If that's the case, T.O. probably won't make it.

I can see there being 25 QBs when the list is finished.

Yea I can't see TO making it either. If they have TO higher than #31 Bruce Smith and #34 Deion Sanders, in the words of primetime "someone needs to be smacked, with some baby powder".

if there are 18 thats about a third of the guys left to be announced are QBs. but i geuss there always will be extra importance put on that position.

considering the phrase "defense wins championships" is used so often you'd have thought more than 33 defensive players would make the list. clearly defense wins championships but unless you're incredible it doesn't make you a star

Has Ray Lewis been on the show yet?
Nope, he's more going to be in the top 30, at least, it looks like..

If I recall Ray is one of 3 MLBs left that are even in the discussion as top players ever, Nitschke, Singletary, Bednarick have all gone already and its just Lewis, Butkus and Lambert left (I think thats correct).

I'll be pretty angry if either Butkus or Lambert are ahead of Ray.

Agreed, especially Butkus considering he never played on a top ranked defense in his career.
