What A Waste Of 51.9 Seconds

Personally, I think the decision to reschedule the last 51.9 seconds of the Hawks - Heat game was ridiculous.

If you don't know how the story goes, here is a brief catch-up:

In their last meeting, then-Heat center Shaquille O'neal was wrongfully deemed to have picked up his 6th foul. He was only on his fifth. The NBA then decided to replay the final 51.9 seconds of the game with the score poised at 111-114 to the hawks (fifteen minutes before they we due to play the same game).

Since that game, the player in question [O'Neal] has since moved to the pheonix suns, and shawn Marion went the other way. Atlanta acquired Mike Bibby. Both were allowed to play in the Replay.

I could understand if Shaq was still with the team, and he played the last 51 seconds. What made it worse is that no one even scored in the replay.

and also, you don't get games replayed for bad out of bounds calls. There's not really a huge difference.

It was probably cool for the hawks though, picking up 2 wins in one night.
