Last season matters not one bit in my opinion. That said I do understand your point, but hopefully you understand mine as well.

Oh now way is this going to be cake for pitts-burgh. This game, I think will be much like the jets game. Low score hard hitting, fights after each play (like most Raven / steeler games) I think it will be a tougher match up than the jets game and that was a nail biter till the end.

Agreed.

yes, he did but the steelers D was not at full strength either,no polomalu for starters... In case you haven't noticed they are healthy again and are 3-0 first place in the division WITHOUT Ben..

Joe actually played pretty well in both games against the Steelers last year.
Especially the first game I believe. When we went into Pittsburgh during a night game and silenced the crowd in the first half.

Again, 3-0 against two average teams and one cupcake, even without Ben isn't scaring me. I'm confident the Ravens can make the necessary defensive adjustments and put together a solid gameplan to beat the Steelers.

The primetime game was actually in Baltimore. I think you're thinking about Joe's rookie year.

Was that his rookie year? It seems like a few months ago, damn. The game I'm referring to was a primetime game in Pittsburgh. I remember seeing the crowd all silent at night. Joe silenced them.

I'm 100% positive that was his rookie year. The Ravens led 13-0 at half-time.

Ummm...they do have a QB. Batch has been a starter in this league and knows what he's doing.

When was the last time he started an NFL game? just askin

This game shouldn't be tougher for us than the Bengals game. Mendenhall isn't the type of back that kills us like Hillis did, and I expect Cody to be in there and finally give our run D the kick it needs.

Surprisingly, the Ravens D is ranked #1 in pass D and I don't think Batch is going to knock us off that spot.. The Steeler D has a "sort-of" weakness in the secondary for which our new receivers should find some success.

It'll be the same as always - a slugfest.

What does that matter? He's been in the league a long time, has seen many coverage and has enough juice in his arm to still sling the ball. And for those who don't realize, the Bucs are terrible and are missing their underrated FS Tanard Jackson.

Pitt split with us last year? or did they sweep us?
The series was split. The Ravens should have won the second. I still get angry thinking about it.

Split last year. Each team won its respective home game.

Ugh, I hate Pittsburgh games. With Pitt, stats don't matter, last year doesn't matter, Hell this year doesn't matter. It's gonna just be who out-hearts the other team, and who's got the luck that day. It's useless to compare them to the Browns, or any other team. Which is probably why I respect the Steelers more then any other of our divisional opponents.

Since we have a much better Offense with Batch (well, as compared to the previous 2 games), Flacco needs to be on his A-Game or its curtains...
Not to discredit what Batch and co. did today but it was against the Bucs who might have the worst secondary in the league and definitely have one of the worst defenses overall.

That and Batch threw 2 ints, and 1 of the TDs to Wallace was actually intercepted by Talib...and then he decided to throw the ball into Wallaces hands lol.

I don't even know if it comes down to "heart". Really Pittsburgh/Ravens games come down to whoever makes plays on the last drive.

I don't care what the circumstances are. 4th QB, injuries, etc. Whoever is out on the field will make this game into a close one.

Yea. And we did have a little "fortune" on our side as well with a couple TD's were if it were not for Mike Wallace's quick hands we would of probably not got.
Also, there were a couple of drives by Tampa in which they had our defense on the ropes, but we held them to a FG and I believe the other was a turnover. However, they got their only TD when most of the 1st team D. was took off the field due to the heavy lead.

Ray will smack someone, cody will step on someone, flacco will have a mildly ok game. Polomalu will get an interception, harrison will fight someone, and batch will have a mildly ok game. There thats the entire game. :ICONATOR_01040da29c18a4eed76047

Just beat the Steelers...I don't respect them, I don't like them. They sure do make me sick.

We need Cody in the middle and for Mattison to dial up some blitzes for once.

The Steelers will eat the Ravens up if Rice can't play!
Is that a fact? I know Rice broke a long play last year. But the Steelers will look to elimate the run anyways (and they do a pretty good job). So saying that the Steelers would eat us up without Rice is a bit of stretch. Considering this game will rely more upon our passing O and D.

Hopefully McClain gets some carries. Hes the perfect battering ram to tire out the Steeler defense.

Not too worried about their offense, but the defense seems unbelievable. If Flacco and company aren't on their A-game, they will get eaten alive.
