(Merged) Steelers: Week 4

I know I'm jumping the gun a bit, but how do you think we'll do against Pittsburgh?
I saw them play against the Titans and I thought they played kind of timidly. They definitely should of scored at least 1 more TD than they did. I mean, Vince Young, c'mon!

You thought who played timidly? The Steelers? They are down their starting QB, their 2nd QB, now their 3rd QB, um...basically they are looking for a game manager and relying on their defense. Titans tried to take that game. Came up short and out of time though.

Can't think about this game yet though. Have to see how the offense bounces back after the Cincy game first and even then....ugh. Nope, not going to think about it.

I think the Steeler's offense will fall over when Lewis, Ngata @ co. start pummeling them! Their defense is'nt bad, though. This might turn out to be a repeat of the Jets game, come to think of it!!! Cool signature, BTW.

I don't really want to jump the gun either but I might as well put my 2 cents in. I personally think if we can dominant the Browns and the offense starts clicking and gains confidence and the defense keeps playing how they are then we can beat the Steelers week 4. I don't really think we'll blow them out because they always play tough and despite their QB situation that isn't gonna change, plus we're away and I can't imagine it being easy playing there. So it'll be close like always.

I'm predicting a 12-14 point win for Baltimore. Their defense will give us a good fight, but we'll win with a TD and a F. goal, or something along those lines. The loser will be able to defend their honor, since we're meeting twice this season.

I think this will be the game where we give up our first TD of the year and we will win but not by much since the Steeler D has been on point thus far. GO RAVENS!!!

I think we will win this but it's not easy. Steelers still have the stellar defense like we do, and the difference is our offense is better. However, if Flacco comes in that game flat out and Cam stubbornly stays in one dimentional OC, then we are in trouble.

PS: I'm still worry but we'll see...

I have a feeling this game is going to be flat out ugly on both sides. Batch should be the starter and he'll make some plays just because hes reliable and a solid backup QB. If our Oline cant pass protect the Bengals 4 man front for Joe, how the F is Joe going to throw against Harrison, Timmons, and Woodley mashing his face in. I dont see either team going over 14 points.

I think the Steelers look good on defense, they have played hard, and troy looked superb against the titans. However without Roethlisberger I think we will beat them... Wait I know we will beat them.

Point blank it's the Steelers and just like any other AFC North team they always play us tough. I don't care if a ball boy is under center for them, as much as it pains me to say it but they have and always will find ways to win games. Granted our chances are greater of coming away with a win since they are WEAK at the QB position, but then again who knows, look what Dixon did last year in our house! So back up or 3rd string I wont sleep on them, even if we do win all the Steeler fans will cop the oh Big Ben wasn't even playing EXCUSE!!

They couldn't stop Ray Rice last year, Cam needs to USE him.

That was without Polamalu.

I doubt it, who is going to create that TD aside from Ward, which will be heavily covered?
If we give up a TD that game, it'll be from an offensive turnover.
I think the Steelers D will score on us before their offense.
Of course I hope and expect that will not to happen.

I hope Gaither is back for this game please and Yanda moves back to his old spot. Woodley against Yanda/Cousins/Moll wow that's a matchup I don't wanna think about

No matter which way the pot gets stirred, the black and gold will always be a formidable opponent for us. Their "D" is still one of the best and I have no doubt they will attempt to exploit us on the right side. Still, we have done our best against them when we pound the ball and pass on short to intermediate routes.

One additional point is that I feel we have better down field blocking this year than in the past with Q & TJ. That will certainly help if we break a couple runs into the secondary.

Just a quick aside, please refrain from any derogatory nicknames for Ben Roethlisberger in regards to his sexual assault allegations. Just as we request the courtesy of visiting fans to refrain from inflammatory smack talk or incendiary references to Ray Lewis' murder trial, we should offer said fans the same respect by staying away from the hot-button issue of Roethlisberger's off-field issues in discussing this game.

Remember, this thread is about the Ravens-Steelers' Week 4 matchup; this is not a retrial of Ray Lewis or Ben Roethlisberger, nor should this escalate into a moral debate by any means. Any off-topic posts will be removed without notice and subject to official warnings.

Now...let's talk football!

Why worry about week four when we haven't even gotten through week three yet? Cleveland first then Pittsburgh.

The Steelers aren't going to be pushovers. Sure their QB situation is dicey right now but did any of you WATCH the Steelers/Titans game and did any of you SEE the defense? Our OL better darn well get on a better page or I have a feeling week four will end up much like week two.

Yeah, let's worry about getting better in week 3. Then we can speculate about the hated Steelers, who have shown they can beat good teams without Ben.

Okay, that made me chuckle. Charlie ain't a fool though, he'll get rid of it.

The nicknames for the Steelers team/players aren't appropriate, be mindful.

I don't want to focus on the Roethlisberger-less Steelers until we've beaten the Browns this week.

There, I managed to type "Steelers" and "Roethlisberger" without any smack talk. Can I get a cookie now? :th_happypills:

For the record: my comment of "Dude" was directed at the fact that it was a tough post to read in general (grammar).

Hahaha

:26: Couldn't find a cookie but this is probably healthier anyways

The nicknames even get tiresome for me and, trust me, I don't have any love for the Steelers.

And I agree with the sentiment of "One game at a time". Even as fans, we can look ahead and then be disappointed by what's happening NOW.
