Week 15 - Baltimore Ravens Vs. New Orleans Saints

1,388 posts in this topic

I'm on vacation in South Florida. Looks like I'm screwed because of Fox's blank poor TV programming. Looks like I can only watch it at a place that has all the NFL games (DirectTV) and is playing the game at the place. FAt chance of happening.

Thanks Fox
Thank NFL

I hope we differ the kick so that hopefully we can get started on reducing the clock. Need to lead starting the second half and kill that clock.
[/quote]

Trying to kill the clock to early has killed us. We must focus on points. Worry about killing the clock if we are up at the 2 minute warning only.

Guy that runs The 506 (that TV distribution map site we all go to) did an informal poll of FOX affiliates and most of the polled, wanted to run the BAL-NO game but their hands were tied by FOX wanting to force-feed the NFC East rivalry games down our throats.

I don't understand how a game between two teams out of playoff contention (WSH-DAL) gets slightly more coverage than a game between potential Super Bowl opponents. Not only that, but the Ravens and Saints have consistently put on great performances this season in terms of ratings, with both teams setting ratings records in their markets and nationwide. I can understand why PHL-NYG would be the marquee game since FOX is the NFC network and this game will likely decide the division, but BAL-NO will likely have greater ramifications on both teams' respective conferences.

This Baltimore Ravens team is good enough to defeat the Saints straight up. We don't need to try and kill clock or anything like that. We just have to play our game, trust in our team and execute.

The Saints will have to figure out how to stop us just as much as we have to find a way to stop them. This team is not miles better then us, and maybe not even better then us at all. No team has been able to beat the Ravens for 60 full minutes this year, especially at home.

I don't see it happening today. It'll be a really hard fought game that goes back and forth and probably be a preview of the Super Bowl.

We come out and play Ravens football, and we have as good a chance to win as anyone.

I'll reiterate again, I like the black jerseys, but the all-black combo makes the Ravens look like they're wearing leggings or pajamas. The material on the pants is too shiny and it needs a stripe or something to break up that pattern.

I agree. Come out with a solid gameplan and execute it well, putting on long TD drives to keep our defense fresh. No mistakes, no penalties, no turnovers.
