Being a realist doesn't mean being a pessimist. In reality, the Ravens are a good team with an opportunity to be great.

What team does "everyone think we are"? The expectations of fans vary but that doesn't mean anyone was wrong to feel the Ravens could and still can be a Super Bowl team this season.

I know nothing is ever easy. But I'm not willing to discount the team with every opportunity I get. I do think this game will be close and perhaps a heart attack ending, but It is a very, very winnable game.

@berad- i didnt say he sucks i just said we arent who everyone thinks we are. and out 8-4 record can be attributed to beating some of the worse teams the lg has to offer (buf,cle,den,car etc)

At this point, I doubt he's on the team next year. Really, that may be a good thing because it may force the FO to invest a draft pick in an inside LB. I don't blame them for trying to do so with Gooden in '08 but he's proven he isn't a good player.

John Harbuagh i hate to say this but he is the problem my first question is how a special teams coach gets upgraded to head coach next.....why do we have such a lack luster special teams game if that is his main job.Honestly i dont see what he does besides his motivational speeches which he can send in text messages to all the players when he is fired for all i care. I am a die heart ravens fan but this mold he has created for the ravens is stuck in the 20th century its a new age where this game is about speed and playmakers the ravens neeed to upgrade and if it doesnt start with john harbuagh it should start with our linebackers who average around 4.9 speed but then again we cant forget our corners who all would be nickels on quality fball teams.

So should the Ravens have predicted the future and scheduled all the best teams in the league to make their 8-4 record more legitimate?

So who should the Ravens have signed as their HC?

Considering you're not a Ravens employee, I don't know how you know what Harbaugh does in the meetings and on the practice field.

I'm not sure how you know the average 40 time of the Ravens LBs but since you place such an importance on them, three of the team's fastest LBs are McClain, Ellerbe and Gooden but none of them are great players.
