ray has lost a step but im not saying thats the problem. im talking about the overall defense. we dont really have a great passrush and part of the problem there is overpaid linemen like kelly gregg and. but im not sayin ray is the problem im saying saying the overall defensive speed could be better.

and i think i speak for most ravens fans here when i say something needs to change with this team. i know some might be ok with us making the playoffs every year compared to the things we were doing under billick but we want a championship. we cant keep losing to pit the same way every year it gets old

Speed isn't an issue. We're fast but we can't tackle and sometimes lapse in coverage. But the team did try and improve the pass rush by drafting Kindle. But its not the teams fault that he fell down the stairs.

Look for more defensive draft picks to come this year.

what is the organization gonna change. we have one of the most talented rosters in the game and honestly 8-4 isnt good enough. we are one of the only teams that supposed to contend that u can say hasnt really changed all the much in the last 4 years or so. pit was one of the top running teams in the game for a long time now they are just average because they realised to keep up with the colts pats chargers etc the had to move the ball down field and score and stay competative so they've adjusted. its like the ravens refused to change who they are in order to be a real superbowl threat

That's fine to have that opinion. But unless you can factually diagnose the problem and address, and correct, it with more efficiency and effectiveness than our staff, it's just white noise...

Gregg's production and effectiveness has dipped this year and I could see the team cutting him after the season but who else is overpaid?

You said "overpaid lineman". The three players you named aren't lineman. But looking at their contracts on Rotoworld, I(and I think others would agree) only one of them could be considered overpaid.

Foxworth got the contract he did because it was a shallow market and considering his age, the team knew he had room to grow as a player.

Our defense has suffered the past few years, too, you pointed that out yourself. In fact, if not for opposing game-winning drives against New England [i](13 points in the 4th quarter/OT)[/i] and Atlanta [i](80-yard drive in under 50 seconds)[/i], we would've beaten all the "big boyz" the league has to offer.

It goes both ways. For all the blame you wish to put on the offense, I can find an equal amount to put on the defense. For as long as I can remember, football has been a team sport. The Ravens, this year, have the most balanced team they've ever had - for better or for worse.

maybe one of the reason's the fans are frustrated is because the expectations of the team are too high. maybe just maybe there's more to holding up the lombardi trophy then signing big names like boldin and houshmandzadeh maybe u have to have the entire team willing to do whatever it takes to be champs and willing to do everything down to the little things that makes championship teams like not having metal lapses like false starts and illegal formations etc.
