Week 13 - Baltimore Ravens Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

2,138 posts in this topic

Chill folks. you guys will likely be 12-4. I recall being disappointed in my 12-4 Steelers and they won Lombardi #6. Our games are ALWAYS tough. This loss is NOT a reflection on the Ravens. It was a tough game and we got it done. Nothing more. Ravens played tough tonight.

Oh quit being respectful. You're not easing the pain at all. :P

So what we played tough. We don't have a win. We've seen the frustrating conservative play calling and the poor tackling and the crappy Oline blocking before. Do you blame us for being sick of it? This is a game we should have won and we didn't.

Suck it up Chick!;)

We should have won it too, and we did. We should have won the last one and we didn't.

Yeah yeah I'll suck it up but trust me I won't like it.

I love my team but I'm just cranky I can't get to sleep. :)

What a great rivalry! It's too bad that neither team can produce on offense, consistantly... As a Pittsburgh native, whom lived in B-more for 6 years, there is NOTHING better than leaving "the Bank" with a W. Banged-up and bruised, Steeler Nation found a way to win!

Huh, I should be glad I missed this game then eh?
First half was great. Second half not so great with aaaall the same olds. Defense looked good although they probably would have had trouble tackling a marshmallow.

Well I could've gotten some sleep last night instead of watching the Ravens blow a lead and completely stall on offense.

PARavensgirl: I'm not going to blame this on the defense one bit. They held the Steelers to 13 points, 7 of which was due to a poor setup from the offense.

When Pitt lost to NE was that not a reflection of the Steelers?

Of course it is a reflection of the team. They weren't good enough to get the job done when they had the chance.

I'm not truly blaming the D either, although at the end everyone trying to strip the ball instead of actually tackling angered me. Was sleep deprived when I wrote that and still am.

At this point, anytime we are in a close game in the 4th, I see a loss coming.

I am so frustrated with the pathetic offensive play calling, its disgusting that we pay this guy to do the same thing every game. All the talent on offense, no wonder Mason is frustrated, he speaks for me the fan as well!

I have been reading this board for the past few days getting ready for Steeler/Ravens week.I am so glad I did. I have to say I was very surprised. You all are a very classy fan base. Thank you for the concern for Heath Miller. As for the announcers...it was the same way for us when we played New England...You would have thought Tom Brady was the golden child.
Your Suggs is an awesome player no doubt about it. These games always come down to the last couple of plays. I actually quit watching in the 2nd quarter when Ben threw the interception and you converted on 3rd down. Curiosity got the best of me and I turned it back on.
You guys played a tough game and it's nice to see another OC getting ripped like we do our Bruce Ariens.
I often wonder what it would be like to have our team 100% healthy..We could be lethal.

We're all human and just glad Miller walked off under his own power....

No team is ever 100% healthy, you just have to do what you can with who you have and who is <attempting to> coaching!

Congrats and we may very well see you again!

I can't give the Steelers credit for winning that game. We gave it away with some of the worst offensive play-calling and execution I have ever seen.

Having watched the game again, I'm completely disgusted by our offense in the 2nd half.

I'm not saying the sky is falling, I'm not saying Cam Cameron should be fired, I'm not saying Flacco sucks, I'm just saying that the offense cannot play like that again, ever.

Yep. It was a bad hit. It should've been flagged. It was the definition of a defenseless receiver. McClain will be getting a fine and deservingly so.

Our offensive line needs alot of work as well. We have given a few games away ourselves. The Ravens played a good hard game as we have come to expect.

I don't know if there is a lot of work that can be done. Your down to your 3rd string O line men. Your line is about as good as it gets. Only thing that will help is to get guys back from injury.

We had two come back....Oher and Chester got manhandled.

Let's hope they're in much better form next week.

Our o-line is okay. I was directing my comment towards steelgrl and the Steelers O-Line. But I did say "Our" that was a mistake.

...and the Steeler bandwagon rolls on here at work. These "Steeler fans" who won't say anything all year until they beat us are a crack up. Funny, they weren't laughing when the Pats dismantled them recently.

Yep. I have a guy here at work that is a Steelers fan yet he has never lived in "Pittsburgh", doesn't even know who they'll be playing, only knows about 4 guys on the team and doesn't even watch half the games.

But he still finds time to come and talk smack about the win. Put on some pants become a "real" fan then talk some smack.

While agree 100% (I want that to be very clear), Miller dropped to his knees before the hit and the colision point (location) was unavoidable.

No, I really don't think it was. We lost 4 games in 2008 too. It's not the end of the world is what I'm trying to say.

Personally, I try not to get too high when we win or too down when we lose. Some of you guys should try that too.

I try to be that way too. There's nothing we can do as fans with the outcome anyway.
