Nope. Even if we match the Steelers win for win, they'll take the division cause of the better division record tiebreaker.
Depends on which games they drop and which ones we drop.....they lose an AFC game and we win them all and lose an NFC game, we still take division

Maybe if they lose to the Browns.
Right. Pitt's last few games are easy. We need to hope for some upsets.

I think the Jets can beat em, maybe Browns maybe Bengals, but Panthers stand no chance

If they lose twice and we win out then we can get the 2 seed
Possible but unlikely.

We can dream though.

49 into the wind.....kick away everytime!
Was that the distance? I thought the announcers said it was further. If it was under 50 then I completely agree, but that is neither here nor there.

I'm still in complete shock....... I turned my TV off.

I'm not even going to watch ESPN or NFLN this week because I know all we are going to hear is how great Ben played on his ankle... and the Steelers are the best team in the league.... blah blah.

Can someone tell me that there is a chance we can still get the AFC North Title and the 2 Seed at least?
If the Ravens can win out against opponents such as NO, Cincy, and Houston, and the Steeelers lose to teams like NYJ (at Pitt) and Carolina then sure, otherwise no.

Cincy is obviously not a quality opponent, but since Baltimore has managed to lose to them three consecutive time, I'll give them their dues.

Do you realize how tough us winning out is going to be with Houston and New Orleans in the next two weeks?

I'll be hoping it happens but...

On espn big ben and the Steelers are being proclaimed as the best team every as usual, its sickening how much espn praises the steelers and cowboys.
Well they deserve it. ESPN would be praising us if we won.

Guys, grasping at straws. We had the opportunity tonight, that was essentially the division and we just couldn't seal the deal.

Well right now I am so disappointed words really can't describe. It's been a rough past 5 seasons as a devoted Ravens fan not missing a game, and always in hopes of something happening we've been so close, but end up losing it all. I feel no better than a Bengals or Browns fan right now. We had a shot at the big time and let it all get away. Now once again our biggest rival will be raising the torch of victory while we hold our heads as second best in a stomach turning, hard nose defeat. There is a lot of people I would like to blame right now, but I am not going to say anything just quietly walk away and rethink my options as a football fan and as a Ravens fan. What the future holds for me as a fan is uncertain. I am sad, tired, frustrated and deeply disappointed with our entire team.

NFLN might praise the Ravens, but ESPN would probably talk about what Pitt didn't do.

That is one thing I will never do. The Ravens are my team and I will be with them even when they break my heart, as I always have.

And what if the same thing happens with your next chosen team? Then what?

You're a poor excuse for a fan, if you really mean what your saying.

I doubt I will pick another team. I will just watch games casually and then again I may not watch anything for awhile take a long break from football. For me five years of utter disappointment is about all I can take very much so when I am surrounded by Steeler nation which people I work with and are friends with are die hard Steelers fans and will rub this in my face for probably two weeks.

If I was a Browns fan I would expect to see my team go 9-7 or worse so no stressful losses to deal with when rooting for a team that could very well lose. BUT when you root for a team that on paper looks the best in the entire NFL and they lose key games like this to THE team you dislike the most its a tough pill to swallow. I will sleep good tonight that's full sure a emotional roller-coaster is spinning circles in my mind and in my stomach right now.

I'm surrounded by Steelers Nation as well and get grief all the time as well. No doubt I'll get random snarky comments from strangers for a good while after this game. Won't stop me from wearing Ravens gear every chance I get though.

Yes it is a tough pill to swallow. I hurt like hell after the Falcons game...didn't think I could hurt any worse than that until tonight.

But I personally will not leave Ravens Nation. Ever. My loyalty runs too deep for that.

Oh, dude, I hope you're not serious. We all feel terrible now, but that comes with the game no matter who you're a fan of. And we all say things in the heat of the moment of a game, or post our frustrations here, and that's as it should be. We're a family here, and although we have our ups and downs, come game day any year, any town, we're all there together cheering on our Ravens. Sure, there are 31 other teams, but only one RAVENS! Hang in there, and play like a Raven!

I know how you're feeling.

They blew it again and again and again last year, so that is why I predicted an 8-8 season in '10. Before the season started I never envisioned them beating Pitt twice so it's easier to except their shortcomings. On the bright side, if they just have a winning season, they will have exceeded my expectations.

Well for me it will just be a vacation away from the sport. I dunno I am pretty hurt and disappointed currently, I don't even want to go to bed. It's probably just frustration talking or strong emotions.

F the steelers... I dislike them even more now... Is that okay to say? :gaah:

I understand, believe me. I'm not even remotely tired myself right now.

I'd even use the word hate, personally.

Night y'all.

I know exactly what you mean. The Steeler bandwagon is all around me, but I stand tall and proud in my purple, and make sure they all hear my Steeler jokes. :)

I'm beginning to wonder if we'll ever beat Ben again....
It joyed me greatly to see him standing on the sidelines with cotton in his nose and blood on his shirt and we were dominating them defensively at that moment.

If we match off with them in the playoffs... Well I feel like this year we're reliving our 2008 season, were they beat us in the championship game.

Anyway* I am taking my frustrations and having a cup of tea and checking out the snow fall levels outside, then attempting a shot at a good night of sleep.
