Week 13 - Baltimore Ravens Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

I am so sick and tired of this team burning time outs constantly to avoid delay of game calls or just plain trying to work out of the apparent confusion of the offense. Especially in a close game like this.

What I don't understand is how we KNOW the Steeler secondary is sub par, but yet we continue to run it against the fabulous Steeler run defense.

It's the end of the game and Baltimore is ahead. You know that Cam cannot help himself in that situation. They absolutely have to run it no matter what.

The logic is to run the ball and kill the clock, putting trust in the ground attack. In this situation, given the Steelers' ranking, I don't agree with it, but I understand it.

Plus, throwing, even with a lead, is risky against the Steelers, who are apt to make big plays in big situations. Furthermore, incomplete passes stop the clock, so even though the idea is to complete short passes to keep the clock running, the Steelers defense probably won't allow the short stuff at this juncture since they know that's what the Ravens are aiming for.
