Roddy even said he "stuck him" good try pal.

Call it whatever you want.

It is what it is, and that play resulted with a touchdown and a Falcons victory.

Nothing you can do about it.

Yeah, White is a flat out stud. No need to make excuses. Him and Ryan were owning us all day.

I cant believe the defense is going to cost us a chance at doing anything this year. The offense is good, I knew the defense wouldnt be dominant forever but I did not see this year as being the year it would collapse.

Ravens are still 6-3 and have a light schedule, they can still do good things but that defense needs to play much better.

The defense is kind of reminiscent of the beginning of last year. Through six games, Baltimore led the AFC in scoring, but finished 3-3 thanks in part to a subpar defense. They turned it around after the bye and I thought this unit would too, but that's apparantly not going to happen.

That schedule isn't looking so light anymore. They have to play Flacco's kryptonite (Cincy), Pittsburgh, the defending champs, @ Cleveland (and we saw how well they played them at home) and @ the Texans.

This was NFC opponent so it's not as bad as if they lost to the Jets, but it's still bad.

Plus, they're not going to get another shot for another four years. (And it better be in Baltimore.)

Given the Steelers have a pretty soft schedule compared to us, I don't see how we can win the division at this point.

While I do agree that the Steelers schedule is easier then the Ravens down the stretch which I have been saying for weeks now, playing the Pats and Jets even though they both are at Heinz Field is still going to be very very tough for the Steelers. But to get back to your point that's why I kept saying time and time again how important it was for the Steelers to win that game in Cincinnati this past Monday night because it would then put the Steelers at 2-1 in the division with the Ravens, and it would mean that they did something the Ravens didnt do and that was win in Cincinnati. That is the main reason the Ravens are not in first place now over the Steelers is that game right there. I have been saying for weeks that loss could come back to bite the Ravens in a big way and right now it is proving to be the case...

We have to be 8-3 going into the Pittsburgh game. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

And there is no reason we shouldn't be......

Pretty "obvious" that they shouldnt lose to a bad Panthers team or an underrated Tampa Bay team considering that the Ravens needed overtime to beat a winless Bills team in Baltimore...Of course there was no way in hell that I ever thought last year after the Steelers started 6-2 that they would lose games to KC,Oakland, and Cleveland but guess what they did so you just never know...

Yes, yes indeed. It truly is embarrassing that we lost to the Falcons.

Oh yeah, speaking of embarrassment, "your" is possession and "you're" is you are....

No offense to Ray, he's a great player but it's pretty embarrassing when you have your future HOF linebacker getting pancaked by a 5-10 RB. :D

Pretty sure the level of play that Ray plays at (overall, not one play) at the age of 35 is the furthest thing from embarrassing. You could only wish to have a legend like him on your team.

Not to mention that Turner only differs by about 10 lbs+- to Ray.

Very true. I have a lot of respect for Ray and what he's done in his career. No lies.

He is one of the greatest linebackers of all-time.

I definitely get that, but when have you ever heard Ray saying he or the defense needed to play better. They had that built in crutch to blame losses on the Offensive for years. When the o delivers the d fails, generally.
[/quote]
“When you give up the points like we did in the first half, it’s extremely hard to come back and beat somebody at home,” said linebacker Ray Lewis. “You always want that chance. The disappointing thing is that you can’t start like that, because the game is going to play out the way the game is going to play out.

“That was a game we were supposed to close out. We need to come back and correct what we’re supposed to correct, no matter what it was we were supposed to do.”

I think Ray is pretty much saying the defense is to blame for Thursday. After reading an article from today, I'd have to disagree...at least in this instance.

Ray is definitely taking blame for this loss and I agree with him 100%. Granted the O sucked for over half a game of football, the fact remains that our D could not contain the Falcons for 60 seconds...wow!

Unfortunately. The only thing the defense did do well on Thursday was stop Michael Turner. Cody being put in definitely helped. The Falcons also ran the ball less than usual, which just shows that their gameplan was focused on exposing our terrible pass rush and secondary.

It is not entirely Ray Lewis fault. As keep in mind, the defense wins you the game. It was the defense that needed to step up all the way. As Ray Lewis was doing his best. But also Ed Reed is still not 100%.

No one said it was Rays fault....we're talking about whether it was the D's fault or not. I said yes, as did Ray. 80 yards in 45 seconds is inexcusable...
