True but had we played better on BOTH sides of the ball in the first half, the blown calls might not have had such an impact.

At least we can rest up before Carolina.

In a game of inches and seconds, a blown call like that is inexcusable. I don't care if we picked our nose for the first three quarters, a win is a win, and I'm tired of seeing games stripped from us by crummy refs.

07 vs NE, final drive: Ravens up by 1 (?), A pass interference call extends a Patriots drive. A bobbled TD catch is not overruled. The only difference this time is we didn't get a call we should have gotten, rather than the Falcons getting an extra bonus flag.

I guess Roddy White will stiff arm his way through CB's on routes now that he got away with it 3 straight plays. Bologna end. Refs didn't do their job.

Did Atlanta even have one accepted penalty against them all game? I just don't see how that's possible. The refs screwed us on the Suggs facemask which should have been off-setting, the White non-call on a blatant push-off, and just the fact that Atlanta wasn't called for anything all game is quite astonishing.
They had one defensive holding call in our final TD drive but we declined b/c we got the 1st down.

Everyone tripping about the non-call on Mr. White, remember they were already in field goal range and have a pretty darn good kicker...They would have just beat us by two points instead of 5.
The penalty would have moved them back a bit, and who knows what would've happened after that.

We're not a SB team guys, that's for sure.
Ummm.....we went on the road against a team that was 17-1 with Matt Ryan at home and we "lost" by 5 when we should've won. I know your reasoning for your statement, but that's still a ridiculous statement to make.

No, the team's slow play up until the 4th quarter and two huge penalties lost the Ravens the game.
I would have to agree......plus we can no longer rely on our D being able to hold an offense. Damn, 80 yards in 45 seconds....really???

Well, that definitely wasn't a championship defense.

the refs s< no profnity> as usual, suggs on a facemask on 3rd down??? really?? HE was facemasked!! and wuts wit the push off by white?? WTH?? i guess an offense can push off for a touchdown now, but when mason did it the other week it pass inter. on mason?? but the refs didnt blow this game totally. our offense in the first half was sikk. flacco was bad and the o line was terrible. and the defense ALL game was bad, they had their moments of good plays, but overall bad most of the game. but the offense came bakk fightin their butts off and did great in the second half....i cant believe i would ever say this but the defense couldnt stop them, they drove 80 yrds in 50 seconds!!! WOW.

Go ahead and neg me, we're not going to the Superbowl. We'll make the playoffs but won't last long I don't think. If our D was on par with the D from a couple years ago, definitely.

The non called penalty moves them back to (I believe) a 50+ yarder....

Yeah, in the end, our D got exposed... Mattison's future after this season has to be in question.

Oh, and another thing, why did it take so long for our offense to click? I just don't understand Cam's line of thinking. The drive after our first TD (in which we ran it for 51 yards) we don't run it even once and we punt! Something's wrong with that!

We made a game of it..... in the end, just another blown lead in the 4th quarter by an ageing defense with no identity or consistency. It's really sad to see our D this vulnerable to a sound game plan and a big receiver.

The Call from the Reff was a big one! But we had a real bad first half! There was almost no pressure on Ryan we lost so many 3rd and long situations and Flacco had no rhythm until the last 1,5 quarters. As much as those Reff calls hurt... we played football like allways this year... playing good (but not great) against good teams (and the Falcons are a good Team), bad against bad ones and that will cost us games like this or the Bills game! So I say 50% Bills 50% Ravens this game!

A positive we should take away from this is joe flacco's development, going in to the 4th quarter- down by 13 he leads two great drives to take the lead by 1. We're still a SB contender. Why? We did virtually nothing through 3 quarters and yet we take the lead late. Our D will imrpove for the home stretch like it did last year and we can still contend for the Div title. Go Ravens!

Something about this game makes me think that the outcome was already pre-determined. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'...

if we want to got to the super bowl we need to be the #1 seed because we showed tonight we cant win on the road, we shulda won, but i cant see us going to pittsburgh or indianapolis and winning... we need to have home-field throughout

I wouldn't neg you for saying what's true. On top of that, we won't be going past the first or second round ever if we don't start getting some players who can play offense and defense consistently and coaches who are going to coach in the NFL to win rather than trying not to lose.

White scored a 33 yard TD. So, if he had been called for P.I., they would have been backed up 10 yards (43). That's a 60-yard FG attempt? Hmmm......

They were at the 33. Offensive pass interference is 10 yards. So they'd be at the 43, which is what? A 53 yarder? Not exactly a gimme field goal. Didn't see the other posts with the exact same thing I said, oh well.
