Is This A Glitch?

Playing online. Colt vs Colts. Receiving kickoff and the other guy can't aim worth a crap. It's heading forthe sideline at the 2 or 3 yd line so I get out of the way hoping to get a penalty and start at the forty. So ot ends up bouncing the other way and goes into the endzone for a touchback. I knew something was up when the play didn't immediately go dead and give me the ball at the 20. Next thing I know someone from the kicking team picks it up in the end zone and it gives them a "99yd td retrn by A. Gonzalez"
obviously I'm freaking out and about to throw something at the tv while my wife yells at me to calm down. Just wondering if this is some kind of glitch possibly having to do with using the same teams.

I did the same thing Offline, and it almost gave my Dad a TD, until I realized that it wasn't going to give me an automatic touchback. Did it go out of bounds in the end zone??

[/quote]no, it took a huge bounce at the 2 and then plopped right into the end zone and just sat there.

if they were not squib kicking then yea. i know you can squib it like that tho most times it doesnt get into the end zone tho unless you have the wind on your side.

It's not a dead ball in the end zone on a kick off. Only on a punt. It WAS a TD, but not a 99 yard return.

[/quote]well that was a sucky way to find out that a kickoff into the end zone isnt an automatic touchback.

Could be worse. Could have happened to the Steelers in real life! Or in your case, the Ravens. lol

lol Warden... man your team is doing pretty good considering the circumstances with Worthlessberger lol (just playing). You all may end up being the surprise team in the AFC North this year, although I'd have to say that the Texans will probably be the surprise team in the AFC conference. Can't wait until we play, I mean beat, you all lol

Sadly, I will miss that game (business trip). I wish we had Ben back for that one. Heck, even Dixon would be a plus as Kordell (a running QB) used to give your defense fits.

I don't think we're a surprise and many folks predicted big things from Houston.
