Fantasy Frustration Thread!

you want frustration? I agonized all week over whether or not Lesean McCoy could play with a cracked rib against the 49er defense...I'm in a Flex league so at the very last minute I replaced him with Mark Clayton...who went down with a season ending knee injury while McCoy went on to score 21 fantasy points...(and cue a Homer Simpson..."doh!!")

i did the exact same thing! only mario manningham was the guy i put in to replace McCoy. atleast you got some points from clayton before he went down!

McCoy was a tough one. I knew if he'd play a full game, he'd put up huge numbers. But Since it was night game, game time decision, it wasn't worth the risk for owners unless you had guys like Greene or some other average flex guy.

I was high on McCoy this offseason while everybody was down on him. And he's even surpassed my expectations so far.

Having Felix Jones on my bench in both leagues and watching him rack up the yards against the Titans in addition to out-gain every other RB or flex player I started was pretty annoying.

Seeing Lee Evans put up a big game in ATD's league when I started Devery Henderson was tough to stomach too. Hopefully, Percy Harvin doesn't do much tonight or I'll be [i]really[/i] pissed.

I dropped Henderson in favor of Brandon Tate last week. No one other than maybe Colston is guaranteed to even have a catch with Brees struggling or spreading the ball.

Henderson has actually received a good amount of targets this year but the big plays he's known for haven't been there.

I didn't anticipate having to rely on Henderson when I drafted. I simply viewed him as a bye-week replacement with upside. Then Aromashodu flubbed what was supposed to be the big break of his career.

True, I'm not complaining tho. We won, but it would have been nice to see Q light it up a bit. I did hear that Chanp was covering Q pretty heavy.

On a side note it looks like Roy Williams is starting to play well, so I might plug him in at WR and have Q, Roy, and Britt/Garcon at ym flex spot.

Miles Austin catching 2 passes for 12 didn't hurt me too much in my league but if I lose tonight, I'll be angry considering Anthony Armstrong and Brian Hartline outproduced him on my bench. Not that I would've benched Austin for either of those guys but it's frustrating that both Williams and Bryant can catch TDs while Austin catches 2 passes.

malcolm floyd's inconsistancy is killing me! last week he was incredible so playing the rams i thought thats easy points, especially once gates went down.

he ended up my lowest scoring player and i've got to rely on the titans defense to win it for me tonight

Listen up. Here is the best fantasy advice one can be given. DON"T BENCH YOUR STUDS!

Case in point, in the ESPN league, I have Floyd, Nicks, Santana Moss, Bowe and Calvin Johnson. I decided to give Calvin a break and start Floyd and Nicks. Probably would've won if I just stuck to the cardinal rule.

The minute you bench a stud, you get burned.

I'm thinking. He's hurt bad, he said he couldn't come back last week. He faces a tough Giants passing D, if anything Burleson would have a big game.

Then I see the matchups Floyd vs Rams and Nicks vs Detroit.

And I think, Calvin can sit this one out. I broke one of the cardinal rules.

I know I traded Tony Romo... and only got Garrard in return but damn this bites. I guess you could call it a fair trade, Romo isn't doing that well and Garrard is horrible too. I guess if it wasn't for me picking up Sam Bradford I would have no QB at all. All well, I'll just win with Sam Bradford!

I can top that...I think:

7th in an 18 team league, 4th most points scored, 2nd most against and had to trade my 1st round pick to get a QB (and Cedric Benson) thanks to drafting Kolb and Campbell.

All in one league, in my first freakin' season.
