So, if he hit the official with a baseball bat, would that be allowed?

Technically it wouldn't have been him that hit the official, but the bat which he was wielding.

What did Harbaugh do exactly?
He gave him a karate chop to the arm. It was actually kinda comical.

That was funny how Harbs was pointing out the area on the refs chest and did make contact with him. Hey he was fired up and I would of been the same way. I'm sure he really wasn't trying to do anything intentionally to the ref but just was heated and got carried away, Hey Flacco take notes from that and start showing some damn emotion on the field, side line etc etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Announcers: "We have a referee down. Let's take a Timeout here as the ref is injured." Welcome back to Baltimore as the game as stopped due to the referee being injured. Our sideline reporter Rachel Nichols has more:

Rachel: "Thanks Mike, the Head of Officiating said that he has suffered a major shoulder injury and is out for the rest of the game and the next game he officiates is unknown but it may be a season ending injury."

Hey Let Harbs be fined idc, we just need to play better to make sure the refs can not in anyway influence the finish. It's like Jim Schwartz said about the CJ Non-Touchdown last week, "The Day I come up here and start blaming officials for a loss, is the day I shouldn't be doing this anymore."

if you get fined for a lil hand-chop in which the ref didn't flinch....you may as well tackle the ref and get ya money worth.

like i say....if ya going to get a roughing the passer call, you better knock him out cuz it's 15yrds regaurdless.

Right now I'm mad at Harbs for what he did. How is setting an example for our team by making physical contact with a ref on the sideline during a heated discussion without putting a pump smack on his .$$!

He was showing him the strike zone, because Suggs hit Carson Palmer right in there and they seemed to see something wrong with it. Sorry, but calls like that don't happen very often. I understand why he was mad, the ref probably knew he had it coming and that's why he didn't throw another flag. How is that roughing the passer??? GAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Oh yeah, gotcha'. I didnt know that was his name.

I was thinking of something less violent, like farting on his whistle or something.

Yall have to admit it's not as rediculous as the call against Suggs on Brady last year. That, by far is the most rediculous call by an official EVER!!

HAHA I saw that and laughed and I was like how did that ref just act like nothing happened? And I thought maybe he only got real close to hitting him. He was just demonstrating something though.

I can't blame Harbs for that. That was very disturbing to rewatch the play.

I agree with above posters that if that cost you 15yd, you might as well knock out the QB..lol

HAHAHAHAH what in the world?!

Anyways, I'm glad Harbaugh did it. He had to show his men he was willing to stand up for them, he's the leader of these millionaires - they have to respect him. Billick did the same thing in 2000 except not to a referee, but to reporters. It worked pretty well.

On the bright side, he showed excellent form with that strike.

Harbs, has to learn how to manage his anger at the refs better. A good self respecting coach would have done the following:

1. Step back and Take a Deep Breath

2. Begin Counting From One To Ten.

3. When The Ref Turns To Walk Away - REAR BACK AND KICK HIM SQUARE IN HIS FAT ***!

The fine will be the same - but the pleasure will last a lifetime!

Hammer, you've won.

I don't know at what. Everything, I think. You've just won at everything.

LOL!
