Week 6 - Baltimore Ravens At New England Patriots

Secondary finally showed its true colors today, that's for sure. What a pathetic 2nd half and OT, and offensive playcalling.

The Patriots understand the very simple idea of how to win in overtime - you don't <deleted> run and dumpoff the ball fifteen times in a row; one damn long pass wins the game.

Yeah Cam Cameron started off great and ended awfully. Get some intermediate routes going!!! Give Flacco a chance to hit someone across the middle! No, everyone is going deep.

Why are we mortgaging in the game before it's over? It's overtime, anything can happen. A 52 yard field goal is not a guarantee.

cam cameron's fault. in overtime, the goal is to score before the other team. he called nothing but conservative plays that got us nowhere. if he would have called some plays to get us downfield into field goal range, we would have won

im not too upset with that game. our boys played a pretty good game. there were definatly a few bad decisions by cam cameron but it happens and though flacco looks awesome throwing the ball he still has areas to develop in like reading the coverage before the snap. I believe he will continue to improve. LETS GO RAVENS!!!. lets get it back next week

The Ravens still have never won against the Patriots in the regular season. I picked this as a loss before the season started, and I should have gone with my first instincts.

On to Buffalo; it's a good thing they have a tough game like that at home.

Not only did Baltimore lose a winnable game against the Patriots for at least the third straight time in the regular season, they also lost the divisional lead to Pittsburgh.

The way this game developed, the Patriots deserved to win. Had it not been for Chung's hit on Mason in the endzone, it would have been a different story. But if Cam doesn't have faith in his quarterback in the clutch (truth is, Flacco has cold blood and performs even better then) and doesn't go for the long balls to his pro bowl receivers and tight end, there's not much you can expect out of a tight game in Foxborough.

Hopefully, this loss will teach us a lesson and turn us into a better team.

Today reminded why I love BB so much. I know he would have had the guts to go for it on that 4th and short....

I like Harbs, but he needs to grow a pair....

When we're having success through the air, why do we change to running the ball? I get running the clock out, but scoring more points than the other guy is the way to win. This is what I saw, why I think we lost the game. We were passing great, then we got a lead and started getting conservative. We should have mixed it up more. Then, in overtime, we got the ball and tried three straight dumpoffs. Let Flacco throw it down the field to his playmakers once in a while, that's how we beat the Steelers, with big completions. And, of course, McClain. Come on, this is your fourth year in the league, you should know by now not to get all riled up and give up stupid penalties. Win the game, then you can do whatever the hell you want. And what the heck was with the qb sneak. Who's calling the plays, I don't know, but whoever it is needs to be replaced.

That was a tough loss, Ravens special teams didn't play well, not much offense in the fourth quarter. Should have had this one!!!!!

I stopped asking that question several weeks ago. If you recall, that was the gameplan against the Jets too: the Dbs can't cover a bed with a blanket and Rice is averaging less than 2 yards per rush. Let's run. Then in week 2: Flacco can't remember who is on his team, Rice is averaging around 5 yards per carry, let's pass! And then there's this game.

But hey, they're 4-2; it could be worse.

Jamal you are correct sir!!!!

The Ravens needed to go for it on 4th and a inch and fourth and a foot. NE is better coached so we need to take the 4th down chance EVERY TIME WE PLAY THEM. Bad coaching lost this game NOT McClain or Oher. Same old story, Same bad coaching. Our coaches need a gutsy coach when we get in close games with good teams to advise them. I would rather loose trying to win, not laying down depending on D (we don't have that D). Not allowing the O to go for it does not instill confidence in them, as a matter of fact after we coward away from a 4th and inches twice, we were supposed to lose. Writing was on the wall. Shame the coaches don't know this. We should be OK though, our next game is home against the Bills, Maybe our coaches can put a W on this one or maybe the players should ignore the coach in these situations. Only thing worse than passion free players are passion free coaches. NE tips their hat to our coaches.
