Speaking Of Buying Ravens Tickets....

28 posts in this topic

Sometime in July/August ticketmaster sells a few hundred tickets to the public online. They went on sale at 9am sharp and at 9:00.01 I tried to buy four tickets (I think groups of 2 or 3 were the max) to ANY home game and they all instantly sold out. I realize that I was racing against lots of other fans & ticket resellers but it was ridiculous. By 9:01 ticketmaster only had single tickets to purchase and by 9:05 they were all gone (I clearly didn't want a single seat). It just seems ridiculous to me that so few tickets make it to the general public! Did anyone else have a similar problem? Does anyone know of good ways to get tix for a reasonable price?

To go StubHub.com or Ticket Exchange.

Yeah but theres gotta be a more direct way, ala ticket master. Stubhub raises the price a bit.

Yeah thats absolutely true. I haven't tried to scalp Ravens tix so I dunno what prices to expect/ how the availability is, etc. Anyone know more about it?

The scalper I usually goto is on Eutaw Street. His prices are always face value, and he can upgrade your tickets if you don't like the ones you already have. You just have to pay the difference of the ticket prices.

Oh, I forgot to mention, if your not a Ravens fan and coming to see your team play...You won't get the face value from the scalper. :P So, its a plus being a Raven fan.

Haha thanks man. Does he sell out/ how much before game time should I get there?

I usually go around 3hrs before game time. Once I get a space, I go right to him. He usually has pockets filled with tickets. You could get a discount on ones he's overstocked on. Those are probably the end zone nose bleed sections. Once I get my tickets My wife and I goto the Ravens Walk for about a hr drinking. Then, we'll go around the lots talking to some fellow Raven fans.

I have the scalper's business card somewhere. I think my wife has it...? Once I find it I'll put his name and number down on the site.

Please do NOT post the scalper's name and number on this site. The BaltimoreRavens have an official ticket reseller and that's the only one this site will reference.

Thanks.

If you have a friend thats a season ticket holder, you can have them submit for the supplemental lottery for you. The link to the Ravens site isLink

If I register as a buyer I can buy unused tix for a game?

Stubhub is ridiculously overpriced (usually double face value), but hey there are only 8 regular season home games a year so they are at a premium...

I'm not sure how they work it. I've gotten supplemental tickets the last 2 years.

As bad as the team was last year, extra tickets were still pretty hard to come by.

Last year. The Supplemental ticket form is usually due in June and you find out the end of July.

can i buy some for the ravens-raiders game now?

We don't even know the dates yet, they are released in April, so no unless you pre-buy from a scalper and I think that would be foolish and costly.

Ebay. That's where I got mine to the Ravens-Bengals game. :D For a pretty cheap price too

Yea, Ebay is the way to go if you have a losing team, like us last year. You won't get ant tickets cheaper than Ebay. Also it is the complete opposite if your team is winning, Ebay is expensive.

You might want to try Ticketmaster the Thursday or Friday before a game, sometimes visiting teams don't use their allotment of Tickets and release them back to Ticketmaster at Face Value, plus service charges. There were several games last year that had tickets available like this.

would you mind PMing me that info too? im from the eastern shore but i have family in baltimore so i'd like to get some tickets next season. i hate getting them off the internet because the price is always marked up. i tried to get them the first day they went on sale from the box office and the line was busy for hours. ticketmaster was sold out instantly.
