If you know so much about football why are you posting on here instead of working in a front office making personnel decisions or coaching?

Bluntly calling Joe bad is a silly comment. If every Quarterback that hit a slump was benched Quarterback turn-over in the NFL would be ridiculous.
Don't you understand, it's so easy to be a Couch Potato GM.... but just because that person thinks Joe should be benched doesn't mean Ozzie thinks so, nor Harbs. I mean I would have grabbed Jared Odrick at 25 and had him replace Pryce at LE and kept Kruger at OLB, and let him develop under JJ, but that don't mean I would make a real good GM. Plus.... the poster you quoted brought up what we see in Madden, it also don't make you a good GM if you win Super Bowls in Madden.

Joe is Bad. Its that simple. Over the last 4 games, even Manning would have been benched with play like that.
19/32 173 yds. 0 TDs, 3 INTs, 1 sack, QB rating 35.0 Loss 41-6

Peyton Manning stats 4th year game against Miami.

Wasn't benched. I would guess there was not even a benching discussion. FYI he finished the year with just a 84.1 QB rating.
Vick would be a proven upgrade who is still young (30) and brings another dynamic to the game. He is not a overplayed QB (rested since 2006) who is a proven winner. He is about as much of a criminal as Ray Lewis or Jamal lewis is, if you even consider what they did to be a crime against society. He is hungry and wants to EARN back what was lost from stupid decisions. I am not saying throw the checkbook at him but to say its a joke to consider it, is laughable. At the end of the day, the FO needs to put the best product on the field that has the highest probability of winning. Vick would without a doubt be a greater asset to this team then Mr. Flacco.
Michael Vick has not had a QB rating above 81.6 and that was back in 2002. His last season with Atlanta (because I can't believe you are basing your analysis on the 1 1/2 games he has played this season) was 75.7, his highest since 2002. How is he a PROVEN upgrade? Flacco's QB rating was higher than Vick's career high in Joe's first two seasons.

80% of the people on this site know nothing about football

Agreed. Given the above facts, I think you may be one of them.

Don't want him. Plus with the way he has been playing, the Eagles will probably resign him.

I knew this was going to happen. Vick puts up a great game against the LIONS! Man if this is going on here, I'd hate to see the Philly boards.

So Joes' contract is up, if we let him go, do you know how many teams would jump all over him? Why? Because it is way to early to give up on the guy.

We'd be adding aging QBs, who might not work, and if they don't we are stuck trying to find another QUALITY starter.
Actually no ones going crazy except for a few people.
Most are glad they traded McNabb(don`t know why as I liked McNabb).
Personally it does`nt bother how Reid handled it and I don`t care about players ego`s or feelings getting hurt as all I or any fan of any team should really care about is winning.
He made his decision and if Vick starts winning games then all this"Did Reid handle the QB situation properly"talk will be a distant memory.....if not then there Kolb.

There is a little sense in the idea of adding Vick, Bulger's contract will be up and having a great backup QB who can be a dynamic running threat, be mobile in the pocket, and run the wildcat would be nice.

But considering the fact that he will probably either be signed by a QB-needy team (Browns, Raiders, Bills), resigned by the Eagles, or just be too expensive for our budget to back up Joe makes it very unlikely that we will get him. But I will entertain the .1% chance that he pulls a Bulger and signs with us for a ring, although thats pretty unlikely because even Bulger wouldnt come for cheap and the Eagles have a legit shot at being a contender.

But the very idea he would start over Joe is so ridiculous its unable to be expressed in words.

How is he a proven upgrade? He's led his team to the playoffs twice. So has Joe. He is an acomplished runner, but that is about the only place where he is a "Definite" upgrade.

Tested positive for marijuana use. Character issues. Enough said.

Has never thrown for over 3000 yards in the NFL. Joe has done it already, in his 2nd year. Seeing as this league has become more pass first, I would say this is a definite plus in Flacco's favor.

For someone who "laughs" at 80% of the forum members for their apparent lack of football knowledge, you display an almost glaring inability to judge talent.
2 things. First, Joe has never lead us to the playoffs. Our D and Run game has. It's that simple. Second, its not just 2 games. Its the last 2 games and all of the playoff games and just about every time the game has been clutch. He has managed the team and best, and when he is needed to drive the ball, he usualy fails.

is this fantasy football?
vick played two games this season, let's see what he does next.
i think bulger is better than vick anyway.
and joe is younger, taller and more promissing than both of them.
SO that means Drew Brees is a <bad> QB beacuse he is both older and short? Those first 2 have little bearing on a quality QB. Its been proven over and over.

In two years, Flacco has orchestrated 4 game-winning drives. In comparison, Aaron Rodgers has done the same in his first two years as a starter, as did Joe Montana. Peyton Manning has orchestrated 7 game-winning drives in his first two years, and Tom Brady orchestrated 8 game-winning drives.

Not too shabby.

Now, does Flacco need to do more? Yes, of course. But to take away from his accomplishments by merely calling him a game manager, and to harp constantly on what he's done wrong rather than what he's done right, is to ask too much of him when he's still in the early part of his development. This is the year where he begins to take that next step, and it should all be cemented by his 4th season.

If I wanted to watch a quarterback run with the ball, I'll watch college football.
I pay for and want to see a professional quarterback manage the game and throw the ball with timing and accuracy.
I am not interested in watching a quarterback run with the ball. That is why there are running backs.

I'm so sick of hearing people say Michael Vick can't throw the ball. He has one of the prettiest throws in the league. His spirals are TIGHT, and he can hit the deep ball just as easily as he can put a little touch pass over the middle.

PLEASE, for those who say he can't pass... name ONE receiver he had during his time in Atlanta. Yes, he had Roddy White in Roddy White's rookie year where he wasn't even a starter. He had JOE HORN! Amazing talent! Peerless Price? COME ON, MAN! The best wide receiver while Vick was in Atlanta was Brian Finneran... and he was hurt more often than Demetrius Williams. So all he really had was Alge Crumpler.

DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are the best receivers Vick has ever had. And yes, he looked good against two pretty bad defenses in Detroit and Jacksonville. But both of those games were away. And, Vick looked pretty good against the Packers, who have a pretty good defense. These last two games... he's been playing without his starting center and his starting fullback. Two key pieces to protecting him.

Its obvious that someone in this forum is a Vick fan.
But
I have to agree,
Vick has character issues and is not a good fit with the Ravens.
Also, Flacco has done an outstanding job in his first two years.
Considering Flacco only had Mason and Rice and Heap the first two years.
There is absolutely no reason to even consider replacing Joe.

The only reason the Eagles started Vick is because their offensive line is awful.
Fortunately for the Eagles, their opponents were not the caliber the Ravens had to play against.

Not a single team has won a Superbowl with a quarterback who has a run first mentality.
Quarterbacks like Vick will win games, but they won't win championships. Teams in the playoffs will be a completely different caliber and won't allow Vick to run. Already you see the number of sacks he has taken.

Vick does not play well in a structured environment where you have to have a higher degree of mental discipline. This is what wins in the playoffs.

Not hangin with your homees, drinkin till 5 in the morning, throwing cash around in the strip bar and shooting each other.

Probably need to take off the rose colored glasses. There are players on our team that some would consider having character issues. Hopefully, they've all learned from their mistakes and respect the opportunity that many of us would love to have.

How do you know Vick still does all those things? You seriously would take Bulger over Vick ..... seriously ,LOL? You right, SB hasn't been won by a run-first mentality but its a first time for everything . Pretty sure Trent Dilfer is the first of his kind too. You say it looks like Vick fans, you seem like a Vick hater. The man has pays his dues and hes playing great football, give credit where creditds due and stop hating on the man.

Ravens players are not being arested and thrown in jail or hangin with hommes who shoot each other.
If Ravens players act like Vick, I am sure they will not be a Raven very long.
Facts are the Facts (not hate).
Everyone deserves a second chance. (Stallworth too)
But, as soon as Vick was signed with the Eagles he returned to his old ways, hangin with his dog fightin buddies, drinking and partying. The NFL covered up the shooting incident.

How do you know who the Ravens hang out with on their personal time? You don't.

The NFL covered it up...let me guess you wear a tin-foil hat 4 days a week??

The way Vick's been playing you'd have to either hand him a MASSIVE contract or hand the Eagles a high draft pick and pick up a MASSIVE contract.

Flacco will be fine and he`s faced some elite defenses already in this young season(Jets/Bengals)and no one thinks much of the Browns but, they`re a divisional opponent.

Boldin has been absoloutely tearing it up and that would be Flacco who`s getting him the ball.

I don`t even know why Vick is being mentioned as you have yourself a very good young QB that your team has invested in and honestly the way Vick is playing for the Eagles right now...I doubt Reid lets Vick go to another team.
But,then again I thought the same thing about McNabb.

Let me break it down for you guys who don't know what your talking about.
Vick is a FA after this year. Since he already has 5 years of acrued Experience, he becomes a UFA and can sign with any team he wants. If Philly is smart, they will lock him up for a multiple year contract before this year is over. So please dont even bother posting if you are going to talk out of your arse.
