Josh Wilson

I think the coach is giving Josh Wilson some time to get familiar with our playbook. I agee with the poster that said our D. was probably more complex than the playbook in Seattle. Can't wait to see him on the field, but only when he is ready.

Wilson saved a TD on the long kick return. I didn't know he was that fast. I don't think he is ready to start yet, but he is a beast on special teams. We'll work him in against the Browns, even though Williams will be back from his suspension too. :baltimore-ravens:

Good call on Cary Williams coming back. He had a great preseason. I don't see how he gets much playing time, but I think he would be someone to watch for the future. Possible nickle back down the road?

Our secondary position has gone from the "weak link", as many people believed, to being the most interesting topic as far as depth goes. I definitely like the ball hawk aspect of Wilson even though it can sometimes be high risk high reward. I think he will probably get more time in the upcoming game. I think he should eventually get at least the start at nickel over Nakamura, I did see him line up on the outside too. I do like Haruki though but as GuitarScott said his blitzing isn't very effective. It will be interesting to see how it all turns out.

Another thing I'd like to mention is why don't we try him as a kick returner? Before I was all about he needs time to focus on the defense but he proved to everyone his speed on that touchdown saving tackle. Don't get me wrong I like Parmele but on that big return he had I think Wilson could've gotten a touchdown. Maybe just mix them up or put them both back to return the kicks. Just a thought.

I'm not buying into Carr as a #2 or even nickel, give him another chance at returning so Zibby can concentrate on the D.

His ugly whiff attempting to push T.O. out of bounds aside, Carr has looked pretty good in my opinion.

I think Carr is a pretty good nickel actually. Hes not as explosive as Wilson but Carr is turning himself into a reliable player.

He's been ok, but I get the feeling that he's overachieving. Like Washington he's in his late 20s and probably not going to improve much more. Wilson, Webb and even C.Williams have a lot more potential.

Well Webb and Foxworth is going to be our combination for the next 3 years. I agree Wilson has more upside and potential as the nickel in the future, but right now Carr knows the defense better, and has been playing well.
