Yeah, think last years MNF game, yea the Browns didn't put much points on the board. But we still had problems moving the ball.
Yea that was the divisional game on the road. We should be heavy favorites at home against them.

It's still a divisional game, it could be tough, but it shouldn't.

The only thing we NEED to do next week is win. But it would be really helpful if Flacco and company got the offense going again next week before the game in Pittsburgh. If you thought this was bad (which it was), if we do this again at Heinz Field, were dead.

So the passing game needs to get back on track next week for the sake of confidence and getting this bad taste out of our mouths.

Heck I still remember the Browns beating the Steelers last season. I think I was a bigger Browns fan that night than BrownsFan.

Browns are no push over for us as they almost always play us tough no matter how bad they are

Ravens also have a special way about them that they can make any team look like a super bowl contender against us
Uh huh. Because that 34-3 beating they took and the 16-0 loss where we kind of walked around in a stupor sure had me convinced the Browns were SB bound last season.

Someone said earlier that the Browns had not looked that bad through the first two weeks. They played TB and KC. Both seem improved from last season but are hardly top teams. Division game and the Browns will come to play football and you should never overlook any team to be honest but...still...just saying.

If we lose to the Browns we don't deserve to talk about the playoffs.
I'm so glad we had all those superbowl discussions (threads) before the season started. I really enjoyed them.

Once again, paper championships are a helluva lot easier than actual championships.

Temper your expectations people. We might then surprise you instead of always disappointing.

OK 1 game 1 loss relax theres nothing worse then people going on crying about what the ravens should of did or what they need to do or calling for bulger to take the starting spot (WoW i cant believe i even had to type that) we will get a rythem going, all good things come in time. Everyone has all thes great expectations so when something like the game with the bengals happens everyone panics like its the end of the world. We still have alot to look forward to this season so relax and the great playing will come.

I can't believe how bad people are freaking out on here. You can't judge a team by two games. Who are the Jets? A team with a horribly inept offense and great defense, or one with a strong offense and decent defense? Who are the Colts? A turnover-prone team with a soft defense, or a high-scoring offensive machine with a good defense? The Bengals? A team with a soft defense and average offense, or one with a great turnover-hungry defense and bad offense? So many teams played completely different in week 2 than they did in week 1. Our offense might not have put points up in NY, but they moved the ball well and definitely left some points on the field. Give our young players on the line some time to get better, Joe and Ray are young as well, and some of our key skill players are brand new additions. We need to come out next week and handle business with the Browns. I don't think there is any question that we are more talented, but how will we gel next week? I think we will be okay, notch the W and then get ready to a tough game in Pittsburgh.

Me either. You have to scroll 3/4 of the way down the page to find the thread for the next game? Geez.

I think the Ravens are going to work with the O-line this week. In order for there to be any kind of a passing game, we need to have good pass protection and nothing is going to improve production like making sure we have a stout and cohesive line.

I think it'll be a good home opener here if we can address that and make sure we don't give up too much on special teams. BTW, what's up with Gaither?

I'd rest Cody again this week to be honest. There's no need to rush him out there with the Steelers looming. We need Gaither back too, but again, one more week of rest wouldn't hurt and we are playing the Browns....

I think if Cousins is medically cleared to play, it might be a good idea to play him this game.

I hope Gaither is back for the Steelers. Because it'll be Cousins in October directing a horror show.

Cody definitely needs to play against the Browns. He needs the reps plus the conditioning.

This game is not a pushover. The browns d isn't as tough as the jets or bengals and joe needs to develop confidence. I think our boys need a home game. 2 tough teams on the road in less then a week is a tall order.

The poor Browns... they've got to come to Baltimore for the Ravens home opener. And on top of that, the Ravens entire team is beyond angry for the offense not performing. The fans are angry too. Get ready for a show!

I have a feeling this game is going to be a massacre. As in... the Browns don't get ANY points and the Ravens score over 50 just to make a point. Yeah, I feel they run up the score just to make up for the last 2 weeks. Unless the Browns try a 50+ yard field goal just so it's not a shut out.

I don't know, the Browns haven't looked terrible. It'd be a mistake to write this off as an easy win.
The Browns are 0-2 versus Tampa Bay and Kansas City. That's pretty bad.

I dont know about that, Sheldon Brown is the perfect corner to go against Boldin in terms of a defensive matchup, both are extremely physical and neither are burners. Haden could get worked by Mason on some routes, but Joe has to see them, I really dont see Mason burning up Haden. Last week I said getting TJ the ball in the slot against the Bengals nickels was key, and in all honesty I dont even know who the Browns nickel even is...but im not gonna go there again lol.

The thing is their schedule only gets tougher from here on out.

Baltimore, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, New England, New York (Jets)

Their nickel is Eric Wright, whose a better player at this point than Haden. The Browns also have a good rookie safety in T.J. Ward but I'm still expecting a big game from Joe.

Oh thats right its...Wright. Ya I was aware of Ward, I was just looking at the DB/WR matchup. Which I dont like already.

You don't think it favors the Ravens? Cleveland has a talented CB trio but I don't think they have a good pass rush which should work in the Ravens' favor when Joe drops back.

With all that said, I'm hoping Cam has seen the error in his ways and gives Rice at least 25 carries.

I don't smell a trap game. For one, under the Harbaugh, the Ravens haven't lost a game they were heavily favored to win. Secondly, there will be a lot of motivated people on the offensive side of the ball come Sunday.

Not at all. The Ravens are probably going to go in the other direction and completely flatten the Browns to try to prove that they really do have an offense.

well considering that your picks have been on the money more than anyone else i will say that you do make sense but at the same time any given sunday always comes to mind. plus the browns hate us so i see them being tough an another close game.

Browns fan hate the Ravens for the most part but there isn't a rivalry between the actual players. With all the turnover Cleveland has undergone and their lack of success, there isn't much room for animosity.

All the more reason to hurry Cody back. Get at least one NFL game under his belt before we play Pitts. BTW, I hear that he could have played this week, but the coaches were just playing it safe, so really he is ready to go now anyway.

Start Bulger...and we may look like we have a pulse next game
C'mon guys! What would be wrong with letting Bulger get some play time? It would our offense more unpredictable and, more importantly, give Bulger practice. This could be important if Flacco, God forbid, got injured. Flacco could observe Bulger's technique and the offense in general. It would be mutually beneficial! I definitely agree with I Am Legend on this one.
