Would You Rather?

19 posts in this topic

Ok. So it seems like the beginning of this season has been a mirror image of the beginning of last season.

Last season in the first 3 games we faced poor defenses, put up big numbers, went 3-0 and thought we were destined for SB. We all saw how that turned out.

This year, not so much. We've sputtered out of the gate on offense, lost a big divisional game early, and have many more questions than answers going in to week 3.

What situation would you rather have?

Me, I look at the devastation from last year's week 4-6, thinking we were the best team in history and then losing 3 in a row, and prefer this year's outcome. It looks bad now but atleast our team KNOWS they're not playing to their potential and will be forced to make the appropriate adjustments.

I just hope we can. :baltimore-ravens:

Start Slow, finish strong. You'll find the teams that finish strong, usually go deep in the playoffs.

Two road games to start and we are 1-1. That's not a slow start, its average. Sure we looked bad today, but we still have a lot of games left.

Yeah I believe having failures early help you to find where you can improve. And you just have to improve before teams know how to pick you apart. Had it been where we were just coasting over teams, I don't think we would improve as much. After a loss it is always back to RAVENS FOOTBALL. Look for the play action next week.

You do learn a lot in tough losses. It's almost best to get your lickings early.

I'd like to score more than 10 points with a team that has Anquan Boldin, Derrick Mason, TJ Houshmanzadeh, Todd Heap, and Ray Rice.

I'd like to see Housh make a couple catches. I think we would have had a much better chance to win with Clayton in. BUT before all the haters say anything, I believe Housh will help us more in the long run. Him and Flacco are jjust not on the same page yet.

I was excited to see Housh go back to Cinci, but the guy had no passion in catching the ball. The ball hit his hands several times, and he just didn't reel it in. Very disappointed in his showing today. His hands are much better than that.

Quoted for truth..

There was one beautiful, back-shoulder pass Flacco made that hit Housh right in the hands. Perfect ball, but it fell to the ground. Soon after that, Joe threw a pick. Story of the day.

To be honest I'd much rather finish strong and I think we can certainly do that. With Reed coming back for the second half, along with Terrence Cody, our defense is going to get better. It's a matter of getting our offense in tact.

I definitely missed Reed this game. We needed someone that could actually create turnovers on D. We kept a lot of Bengals drives going when we should've ended them with a Pick today.

I firmly believe this offense will find its stride soon. We will definitely end the season strong. I dont think everyone would be quite this concerned if it weren't for the 4 picks today.

I couldnt agree more. Those picks just magnified our offenses lack of consistancy. It will get better. Its not all Flaccos fault. There were several other factors that made Flacco look worse than he was. I wont go into all those things. Just wanted to say I agree that to start slow and finish with a bang is the only way I would have it. Other than going undefeated. I would like to think Flacco has met his quota of interceptions for a while. Start putting some numbers in the TD category for a few games.

A quick fix or answers to the Ravens issues are.......the Browns

If the Ravens do not put up 20 pts plus then start to worry.

Seems like it was a good game to miss as I was flying home. That aside, we did play a very strong team AND a division rival. I'd rather have all the issues taken care of and finish the season strong.

While I didn't see the game, I certainly read about it. 4 INTs is hard to miss. One thing we do know is that Joe will strive to improve and he'll have more time to gel with the Receiving corps. Hopefully next Sunday will be a better game for he team as whole.

Well if they can't get a win and boost their confidence and moral at home against Cleveland, and ride that momentum all the way to Pittsburgh, I don't think they will even finish strong! Am I the only one who would lost my mind when they saw the play calling the drive after Cincy went up 12-10?? I mean with less than 5 minutes left and 80 yards to go, why is Cam calling passing plays for every freaking down??????? As suspect as Joe was in the passing game, you really think with less than 5 minutes left Joe will all of a sudden get into rhythm with his passes Cam. Joe had a bad day, it was bound to happen in his career and will happen AGAIN! Lets see how he can rebound from it, and hopefully they can get this offense running on all cylinders and FINISH STRONG!!

Quite frankly, I'm more impressed with the amount of turnovers we have given up in 2 games on the road, yet we win one and barely lose the other . Normally, when you give up that many turnovers , game is over and its not even close .Our D is playing lights out right now and we are without Ed and Dominique . Also, Cam reminds me of Garret from the Cowboys with the erratic play calling , makes it hard for the O to get in rythm . Cam needs to make us a " Run first " team again and things will be alright. Cam, we are not the Pats or Saints.
