Do we really need another linebacker?

Yes since we didn't re-sign Greisen (yet anyway). In reality, though, Brenden is a special teams ace, something we can really use since our coverage and returns were sorely lacking last year.

Well, Harbaugh officially arrived. :D

He was a special teams coach in Philly so this move isn't shocking at all. Ayanbadejo is one of the best special teamers in the league, he never played linebacker. Maybe he's going to take Gary Stills' spot, who knows.

I'd much rather go after Foxworth.

Foxworth is an RFA so he would cost us draft picks if we went after him this year. He has a third round tender on him so he would cost us our third round pick which we dont have and whatever contract we sign him to. More than likely he will end up resigning with the Bronco's.

Has Foxworth already signed? Oh wait, I'm thinking of Madieu Williams (another former Terp) who signed w/ the Broncos(?) for $33 mill. But yeah, I'd love me some Foxy.

I hate to keep bringing up the injury bug but I think our poor special teams coverage had something to do with all the injuries. When as many guys go down as we had, the special teamers start pulling double duty, playing special teams and filling in where needed. Even the greatest of players will get tired when doing that.

The link said the Bronco's were shopping him around. We could work out some other deal with them.

yeah this was a solid pickup.

It certainly doesn't get me psyched for the season, but as I have said a few times, kick and punt returns are largely underrated in terms of importance to a game.

Come to think of it, I think this is the only team with two Pro Bowl gunners currently on the same squad.

I feel bad for those opposing return specialists next season. :P

Exactly what i was thinking, he will be a great addition to the coverage team(s). He's a perrenial pro-bowler because of it.

...You'd be amazed...haha, he IS the greatest return man of all time entering his third season...

yes he is but he isn't perfect

Isn't he?

I think he may have been the bears' best draft pick in recent memory. They couldn't have aked more from him (considering he didn't actually play a position legitimately even in college)
