Kindle Is Probably Out For The Year

46 posts in this topic

As we all know, the media will take any little tid bit and blow it up and run with it. What makes anyone think that this situation is any different. Of Course most had sense enough to know Kindle would not be back this year. Too serious of an injury to expect any type of quick return.

There have been many, many players over the years that have had such serious injuries that people thought there was no way in the world that player would ever see the field again. But it has happened. Im too tired to bring up examples. But the statement is true. I have no doubt that Kindle will continue to heal. He will at some point get his body back into football shape. The decision then needs to be made if it is worth the risk of something happening again. Its not that he cant come back, or that its impossible. It is possible. What it comes down to is whether or not its worth the risk of another injury that may disable or even worse.

Only time will tell and I think it is extremely shallow, selfish, and completely disgusting to even make statements pertaining to getting screwed out of a first round pick or anything close to these types of statements. This is another human being that we are talking about. Football is the greatest sport in the world but its not everything when you break it down.

Man oh man, you guys really know how to drag me down! The thought of King Sergio never doing his Petey Boulware routine is so disappointing...this kid is so insanely talented, a perennial Pro Bowl type potential. Buuuuuttt....I really cannot see this being a career threatening injury. However, the combination of this and his medical condition stops me from outright saying that I think he'll be suiting up next season. If it were up to him, he'd already be at practice...but the now his future is in the hands of the docs and coaches. Let's hope for the best.

I gotta ask - I'm sorry. And understand I'm Roman-Catholic so "do untue others as blah" and all that business. I don't think it's funny, I don't feel bad for the guy, it sucks he fell down the stairs, but it's just straight up not my job to judge........

That being said WHAT THE HELL caused it? Some sites were saying narcolepsy, others were saying some mega-rare sleep disorder that causes a person to sleep walk, I just don't recall seeing a definitive answer.

EDIT: I thought I should add that it's just that "dude" upstairs works in mysterious ways. Which is why I literally have no opinion on the matter. Kindle is a young man that appeared to have phenomenal talent and got a job just like everyone else. Ozzie is a pretty good reader of character and Kindle is even tweeting to all those that want to know what he is going through. A trait that pretty much demands admiration and respect. I don't care what pick he was. Most of us watched him get called to the stage draft day as a Raven which says a lot about his personality in general. Hopefully fate carrys him in whatever direction he is supposed to be going.

La vita fa male occasiomally, ma spero che Dio guarisce. (Translation from Italian: Life sometimes hurts, but hopefully God heals)

You have to ask yourself, is Sergio really Raven material, or not! This may be one of Ozzie's first mistakes, or one kid that let the big time go to his head! Sucks, I been drunk before but two flights of stairs, child please!

I don't know what happened to my original response. I would think a Mod deleted it, but it also appears my most recent edit got changed from the last post.

Anyways.

You can HONESTLY say you wouldn't have DRANK YOUR <butt> off having busted your hump for most of your life, then finally got drafted into the NFL? I'm just sayin. That you've never stumbled or tripped while drunk? He just happened to do it near a couple of flights of stairs is all.

To all the self righteous Kindle haters that feel empowered by assuming things, I ask you to please post a legit article that explains that Kindle was drunk, and as a result, he had a nasty fall.

Post It.

PREACH ON! Then after that post write an essay explaining what empowers a human being to even BEGIN to think they have the right to judge him as another living human being.

From Harbs' interview on the Ravens home page, he said he doubts Kindle will play this year. He may heal and come back playing for us next year. However, when you have a fracture skull, it is just too risky to play football whereas head to head collision happened too often. I'm shock to see Kindle playing this year.

Such a bad news for him.....

Agreed, you don't spend close to a week in the Neuro ICU of a trauma unit and then go to rehab for a simple conk on the head/ fracture. The entire thing truly sucks for him.

Drinking or not, I could easily see me doing the same thing in unfamiliar surroundings at night, half asleep and no glasses and I am in no way an athlete who is trained to hit and fall.

Kindle seems to be forming pretty long narrative remarks and using a computer in the process while still keeping up with a positive attitude. Whether someone is typing for him, I don't know.

Does anyone happen to have a link as to where exactly the injury is? I know it's his head. But outside of that I don't know if it was the back, front, side, near his neck, or where.

Look, it's done he's hurt and theres no way to go back and change it. Even in a worse case scenario where he never signs I still consider him a Raven.

I expected this after his fall, but we'll wait and see... Our "potential" pass rush really went downhill after trading Barnes and Kindle's accident... We can only hope for the best.. hopefully he'll sign a contract (especially at a reduced price) and he'll come back next year with a chip on his shoulder if he in fact doesn't end up playing at all this year

"We're going to try and sign him to some form of a deal that reflects the situation and give him an opportunity," Harbaugh explained. "Again, I highly doubt he'll play this year, but it will be an opportunity for him to get on track for the future. We want to give him a chance to pursue his dream still."

Translation : We may never sign him and IF we do this will end up costing him A LOT of money .

With that said it is a tough situation and I hope he heals gets an incentive laden contact and plays lights out and earns every dime possible!

like i said in earlier postings just put the guy on IR, i mean he's good dont get me wrong, but he got a head injury fractured skull that's no joke, let him get healthy for next season, we're loaded anyway on defense, and wiz of oz will work his magic if we need upgrades

We probably will once we actually sign him. If we do.
