The important thing is that, yet again, we are still in this game. However, if something doesn't happen soon Cinci is going to run away with this

Remember guys our D has stifled the Bengals O on the last few possessions. They have like 3 3-and-outs in their last 4 possessions.

If you can't protect the QB, he can't make the throws he needs to throw. I'm still somewhat frustrated that the team didn't attempt to get an offensive lineman in the trade for Barnes.

If he has plenty of time to pump fake 2-3-4 times he has plenty of time to read his progression's and find the open receiver. Flacco has never picked up his hot receiver well. What he needs to do is stop deciding where he is throwing to when the play is called and read what the defense gives him and find the single coverage or open receiver

Flacco... Big arm, alot of hype, unsteady, bad foot work, looks nervous, bad reads, started as a rookie.... sounds like someone very familiar that QB'd in Baltimore... Hope he can be our Dilfer and not do I dare say it....Boller
[/quote]

thats just it though, Flacco is poised, good foot work, and is never nervous, makes good reads...Usually...not today...what is up with him...I hope he puts in together in 2nd half

Wow, CBS really used the WWE SmackDown theme as the bumper music just now for the Ravens game.

Yeah I have heard some stadiums use Triple H's theme before Kick off and even before the second half gets under way.

On a side note... The Bears are ahead of Dallas, The Lions are beating the Eagles... and Miami is holding put with a 7 to 0 lead over the Vikings.

Another thing I noticed, Flacco doesn't go through his progressions sometimes, it seems like he locks onto one receiver and hopes they get open...

Regardless of my pessimism I still think we can put it together and win. But man watching the halftime show, why does it seem every team has a gamebreaking player but the Ravens just have good-enough players?

I agree. Just imagine how different this game would be though if Flacco had seen Boldin (I think it was Boldin) for that 60-70 yard wide open TD in the first quarter.

I've been as hard on Flacco as anyone today but I don't think putting in Bulger is the answer. Flacco is the franchise right now, and taking him out of a game like this does nothing for him but create controversy and potentially wreck his confidence. If we lose because of Flacco, we lose because of Flacco. Maybe he can take some things away from the game tape and improve for next week. Bulger isn't there to step in when Flacco does poorly, he's there as a back-up. We just got Flacco a whole host of new weapons and he needs to be able to be out there on the field getting in rhythm with the new guys. Personally I don't think that excuses his lack of performance, and I think he should already be able to make use of guys like Boldin and Housh, as well as his current playmakers in Rice, Mason, and Heap, but apparently he isn't able to get it done right now. Maybe he's afraid of his offensive line, who knows.

Anyway, no thanks to putting in Bulger.

Optimism guys. This thread is so depressing, we all know Flacco is struggling but some of you act like this is curtain closing on the whole franchise.

We're down 1 possession and being a 3rd quarter team, I expect to come out with a bang.

because it is only a matter of time until Palmer hits an open receiver.

sigh..now all the talk will be on Flacco on Nfl network etc.

and do you think it aught not to be? You can do two things with critism, accept it and prove the critics wrong or deny it and continue doing what you are doing...
