Anquan Boldin Is On The Verge Of Making History!

41 posts in this topic

No offense to anyone, but this thread and the fact so many people don't know Boldin's statistical status is just more proof that he was the most unnoticed player in the league. Yes he will be the fastest player ever to 600, but he was also the fastest to 500, 400, 300, 200, and 100, and all those milestones went unnoticed. He also has the highest yards per game average in the history of the NFL, but I've never even heard anyone mention it. Crazy huh?

I got to watch Q for seven years in AZ and I've always said he is a better overall player than Fitz and yes people laughed at me, but I think when all is said and done Boldin's numbers will prove that. They're both tremendous players, but Fitz just got more looks in the red zone due to the jump ball, that is the *only* difference. Boldin's numbers surpass Fitz in every other way.

Why Q is so ignored will always be a mystery to me, but let's just say you got an enormous steal if he can stay healthy (although I admit that is nowhere near a certainty). Good luck the rest of the season. You all have an amazing team.

Good post cardsfan86. Great points about being fastest to the other milestones. This one may get more notice because the number is high and the name being passed is Marvin Harrison (another enigmatic receiver). Plus Q was THE major offseason move for a preseason playoff favorite. I had the good fortune to be playing my first year of fantasy football during Q's rookie year. Needless to say I quickly became aware of his dominance. I also scoff at those who discredit his productivity by bringing up the presence of Fitz. Both are great wideouts. Its that simple. Different, but great. In Raven country Q is a perfect cultural fit. I really feel that.

although possibble I think they will divert more to housh cause they know that he knows that he can shred them my bet Housh and Joe and Cam sat down and watched tape over dinner a few nights so if they double Housh then yes boldin gets atleast 6 if not the 7

Q is definately a great acquisition by the Ravens.
I hope he is here for the remainder of his career.
He has what exemplifies the "Play Like a Raven" attitude.
Team before self, personal character, give 100 percent, self confidence.
He also has great athletic ability.
He reminds me of Mason, (only taller).

It would be nice for Boldin to break the record this week , but I think it would be nicer for him to do it at his new home ( M&T Bank ) and get the appropriate reception from all 73,000 of his new family members !!!

Go Q!

As an aside, did anyone see the stat they put up on MNF saying we are the only team in NFL history to have three receivers all with 500+ receptions?

You and me both.

I've always told people here that I think Q is a top 5 reciever... I know that you and a lot of other Cardinal fans who have actually followed his career would agree with that.

me and this other guy that used to post here were posting threads every week about why we should trade for Boldin...so glad it actually happened.

That would be awesome if he manages it tomorrow against the Bengals! Either way, it shows the calibre of Anquan, and what a great addition he is to this team!

They're NOT going to double Housh. Unless he beats them numerous amounts of time. And with that being said, watching NFL GameDay morning right now. I want to beat Ocho even more now after seeing the Lambo he just pulled up in.
