Ray Lewis Limited

28 posts in this topic

Him and JJ both had limited participation, and it was noted on the Ravens twitter that Lewis didn't even have his helmet. Apparently Lewis' foot was hurt. I hope its just one of those things where it was a little sore after the first game, but it just alarmed me that he didn't even have his helmet. Also in other bad news, Heap didn't practice today as Harbs claimed he would.

I heard earlier in the game that one of the announcers said that he needed to get his foot or his ankle taped up. Mind you, I think this was in the first quarter.

I don't think it's that serious.

Do you have a link or source?

And yeah, Ray got his ankle taped in the Jets game. But that was only to improve his performance.

He looked pretty healthy, though, blowing up Tony Richardson and Dustin Keller.

Oh I guess I missed that. If it occurred early in the game and they put him out there it can't be too serious because they wouldn't want to aggrivate it.

But I saw it here

And here

and hopefully Heap will be back tomorrow

He didn't look hurt on that last drive of the Jets at all. So with that being said, something is probably sore, and he's just taking it easy with the first day back.

I know Ray would hate it, but doing Ray a Hines Ward deal and giving him Tuesdays(?) off would go a long way I think.

Please someone change the title to something less dramatic. Scared me half to death
Haha, ditto. I had to take a second look, and had to take my hands off of my eyes before I could read what was in here. :P

All the players are off on Tuesdays, so giving Ray Tuesday, Wednesday and possibly Thursday after the physical MNF game is not a bad thing. During preseason he was icing and knee/ankle after he was done playing. Everything hurts more after 35

Can all agree that "Limited" is a less controversial phrase?

Or should I go further? Haha

Thanks, B. That works haha

Ray was interviewed by Rich Eisen today on Eisen's podcast. He seemed fine and didn't mention any injuries when discussing the game this weekend.

Here is the link to the podcast.

Ray is not a spring chicken, I think he deserves the rest.

I agree totally, and Harbaugh is really good about preserving his vets. this is nothing serious.

Folks, he's an old man. He's bound to be a little sore after the game
Watch it...I'm older than he is!! *frown*

I know I know..Rayray's up there for football....and I guess that makes Favre the football equivalent of Methuselah. *snicker*

Nah I think Ray will be fine. I give credit to his conditioning for keeping him with us for 15 seasons and counting.

Isn't it funny how in the real world, anyone who is 35 and younger is pretty much considered to be young while in sports anyone over 30 is considered to be geriatric

Just listened to that entire interview with Ray. Again what a class act. If only some of the "haters" would take the time to listen and understand this man. Wow. He is truely an inspiration to many many people.

Ask Keller how healthy Ray is
lol good one...

I don't think anyone even Ochobigmouth would doubt Ray's health after the <hit> of Keller.

PS: Ray knows how to take care of his body. That's why he can survive as top notch MLB in the league for 15years. It wasn't easy.

Lewis, McGahee, Heap, Reed, Mason...they are all going to be playing banged up this season.
That is why good, young talent is so important when stacking a team with veteran players.

Boldin is on the "questionable" list too according to ESPN fantasy football (the God of all injury reports... duh). I haven't heard anything about JJ, Boldin, Heap, or Ray not playing sunday but I think they will end up playing. Especially against a division rival.

Well I dont know how offical this is, but I was on the bengals site tonight, and somewhere i saw they said, regarding injuries to ravens, Lewis=foot, anquan=foot, heap=shoulder, and there was one more person i think. they just simply said they sat out of.. thursday?.. pratice. its more than likely just the efffects of game 1.

Now Ray is Questionable?
Don't worry about it. I have a feeling he'll be showing up on a lot of injury reports this year, but play all 16 games.
