Todd Heap With The Catch Of The Week!

13 posts in this topic

I thought it was interesting that NFL.com has a video of the top 5 catches and Todd Heap's catch Monday night is #1 of the week. Click on the link for the NFL video on the top 5 catches of week 1. I was really excited when he made the catch. It really was a great grab.

Note: Mark Clayton is #3 I believe.

I'm happy for Clayton, I want him to do well and help Bradford and the Rams. He still has plenty of time to develop.

That Heap catch was amazing, he got us out of yet another field position jam (gotta hand it to their punter). I knew he hurt himself for the team on that play, the way he landed on his arm.

Zibby has as much to do with our poor field position at that point in the game as their punter, but yes he did do a great job of pinning us.

As for Clayton. He would probably never have that type of performance with the Ravens because we didn't target him enough to give him 10 catches in a game, but good for him.

As for Heap, with the weapons we now have in the passing game, added to the young blood he has behind him at TE, i think Heap will have a excelent season this year.

Also i was really happy to see Heap going down field more Monday night instead of just staying in to block against the blitz happy Jets.

I look for the Bengals to try and take Heap out of the game Sunday, and that will open things up for Ray Rice imo.

Good for Heap

Yeah, but even if Zibby had let it bounce it might have gone out, it was a perfect kick. Or, he could have caught it and gotten us a few yards and just stepped out, but we still would have been pinned inside the 10. Now, that would have been much better than our own goal line, but still a great punt. Can't do much better than that.

It was a great catch by Heap. A great night for Heap. I am so glad to see him getting back to his old self.

I wish Clayton the best. Good for him! Fact is, with our WR corps he would not have gotten enough opportunities for such a night with the Ravens this season.

I was surprised that Jennings amazing catch was not in this list.

The biggest disapointment is that "non catch" by Calvin Johnson. Had that been ruled a catch it would have been on that highlight reel.

Glad to see Heap back to form. I never thought he lost any of his greatness, just the fact of how we were forced to use him. Great catch! Heap will play a monstrous part of this offense this year. In fact, I am predicting another pro bowl year from him.

Great to see Clayton getting his opportunity in St.Louis. I think he will do good things for the young Bradford. Clayton had hit a dead end here in Baltimore. No hard feelings only best of luck to him.
