This Guy Is A Beast

Won't make it past the Jets. I'm kinda worried about his motor a little too. It didn't seem like he was trying that hard against LSU.

Gholston would be the perfect fit to be groomed behind Trevor Pryce, who definitely isn't getting any younger. Assuming we re-sign Sizzle, and if Gholston is the "best player available" at our pick, that would be some pass rush for years to come... we all know what a good pass rush can do to an elite QB (see SB XLII).

I hope. I hope. I hope but I don't think he'll get past New England.

I think we should land him. I'm pretty sure the Pats may want a linebacker.

He would play OLB in our scheme, not defensive end.

That's what he is. A pass-rushing linebacker in the 3-4. Pass-rushing end in 4-3.

Chris Long is a monster too I would love to get him

Gholston is another Dwight Freeny only stronger.

Vernon Gholston and Chris Long don't even belong in the same sentence. Crap.

I watched them at the combine. Gholston tore up the track, 4.55 in the 40 & benched 225 about 35 times. the guy's a monster @ 255 lbs.

I'm sure he'll be the perfect fit in any 3-cone drill defense.

Have you seen these two play? Sure Gholston has the talent but he lacks what Long has. The motor that just keeps on going. Chris Long will eat up any double team and then sack the QB like a torpedo.

his motor? thats one of the reasons he's going in the top 10. Along with his unbelievable physical attributes, amazing strength and blazing speed. google him and go to youtube or another video site and watch the video on him. This is a scary line-up.

i dont know ozzie is pretty good he could trade down with the bengals and work a deal or clady could be one of those shockers that falls to the 2nd. jeff otah, williams are 2 linemen that teams are interested in 2. unlikely, yeah but we all know and have witness ozzies powers

Or a CB, they just lost both their starters but the Pats have a habit of trading their first round picks to pick up first round picks for next year. They have done it twice this decade already.

CB is what the Pats should draft. As you were saying the Pats lost both their starting CBs to FA. Although, LB is another position they could take since their LB core is old and they need to get young at that position. Bet the Pats wish they wouldn't have gotten caught filming the Jets. They would have still had that second first round pick.

Yes. I know they still have Hobbs but toward the middle of the season, Gay started getting more playing time then Hobbs. So, they essentially lost both their starters.

Tough luck for the Pats. But I'm happy that they lost both of them.

It's entirely their fault.

letting that many guys' contacts expire at the same time is asking for trouble

Yea, their defense is not going to be as good as it was last season. I mean what were they thinking? lol
