Idk..what about Flacco? He took a vicious hit on the 1st play and it didn't bother him. Looking at the replay..man..that was a hard hit..props to JoeCool for getting up!

He still was guilty of 2 costly turnovers that were on him. And his sideline deep ball was quite off.

Flacco benefited a lot from the PI calls. Still played good against a top D, but left you wanted more.

I was scared as hell that he might suffer concussion or something, but with the offseason workout, he did survived that hit. Still it scared the hell out of me.

This was one of the first games I've ever watched of the Ravens where the PI and defensive holding calls went in our favor. I credit Cam for putting our guys in position to force the issue in favorable match-ups that led to the calls, which were all legit.

It was actually very refreshing to watch.

On another topic. The other game ball went to Ozzie Newsome (probably thanks for all the awesome weapons).

Boldin would be my player of the game, he kept the chains moving for us on some tough 3rd downs. He made some big plays tonight. Ngata, Ray and Suggs ALL really impressed me tonight, what a shocker that is...

The whole defense and Coach Mattison deserve the game ball.
Agreed. Boldin was the best individual player tonight, but the entire defense was the most valuable. Game ball for sure.

I don't think I can put the opening fumble completely on him. Maybe 50%, because he held on to the ball for too long. But whiffing on the rusher doesn't help...

I'll agree that he shouldn't have thrown that interception, but we also shouldn't have called a pass on 3rd and 17 when we wanted the Jets to burn their final time out...Flacco threw for 248 yards against the top pass defense in the NFL. We should excuse his interception. The Jets usually get at least one.

I agree with the 50% part on the fumble. But Joe saw it coming, he had to make the check down or just get rid of the ball. Can't let the fumble occur.

Game ball should be given to Cromartie. Because not only was he extremely instrumental in helping the Ravens win, he probably had about 5 more children tonight.

All of the best QBs have a lot of trust in their offensive lines. That type of play happens to even great QBs, we did it to Tom Brady twice last season. But yes, ideally he'll get rid of the ball more quickly when he feels anything short of comfortable in the pocket. Ellis had the perfect angle though, it was really kind of scary. Way too hard a hit for Flacco to be taking.

I have to agree. I felt it should have been a penalty though, one the refs missed. When you see the replay, it was a direct helmet to helmet hit, right in the face mask, which snapped Joe's head back.

Boldin and Heap made great catches, but I can't go with an offensive player when the defense was so immaculate.

I am considering Chris Carr because of all the flak he gets and how he really stepped up tonight, but I am going to go with Ray Lewis. He tackled two guys at once! (One of which had the ball) Enough said.
I was going to so Carr too, but then you remember how averse Sanchez was to throwing downfield or to receivers. So the corners basically got the day off. He did well when he was called upon though, so well done Carr.

I'd say it was at least 80% Joe's fault on that play. The whole line cut their man down. Joe must have known that they were going to do that and known he had to get the ball out quickly. And even if he wasn't aware of the blocking call he saw the rush come at him and should have gotten it away then. Instead he half heartedly scrambled to find space, and it was just never going to work.

I do not know if you can single out one player. Lewis, Boldin, Heap, Koch made a touchdown saving tackle, The entire Dline, Linebackers and secondary did a fantasic job all night. Great team effort.

He should stick to making babies. He does that better than pure coverage.
LMAO!!!!!
As for POG, i agree with the Cromartie option. As for us, i'm not hearing much about Housh. He had a really nice catch, and drew two HUGE pass interference penalties.

Yeah but only one of those penalties were his play. The one in the end zone, Wilson had no business doing what he did.

The longer the Ravens offense can hold onto the ball the less "age" we will see from Ray Lewis. Even older players can stay at 100% if they spend a short time on the field. I love these new WR weapons.
