Merged.......Recievers Looked Great

My idea was that Revis knew Mason is (Or rather now was) his security blanket, especially during a blitz or quick pass. Better to stay on a WR who you know has chemistry with the QB. Also it was understood that Cromartie should be able to handle Boldin = WRONG. He couldn't stop TJ without holding, he couldn't stop Boldin without holding. Revis had no choice but to pick who to cover. If he moved to Boldin, Mason would have made some noise.

Basically Cam coached his rear off and confused the heck out of the Jets.He knew Revis was out there,so shifting the WR's around like he did ment better matchups for our WRs for Joe to throw it to

people can finally shut up about not having a deep threat just because stallworth is hurt. no boldin isn't fast but he makes big plays and he stretches the field.

I have been saying that for WEEKS. We were making Cromartie and Wilson look like fools with double moves. The combination of speed/excellent route running will help our WR's get deep. If you absolutely have to posses insane speed to be considered a deep threat, then how in the world does Mason get away from DB's all the time?

I am not going to comment on all the posts becouse i dont have time to review them all but from me scanning I can say this. Heap I luv um he is a raven as much as Reed or Ray, But he needs to learn how to block in the back feild. His bad blocks in critical situations are starting to be a hinderance. The ravens fans love ya but they notice when you dont play up to ability. TJ im not sure that commantaters stating that tj and Boldin are on in hte same should be taken seriously tj... well im sorry but ive never seen anything from him that Really makes me think that he deserves to be a starter on this team. He just got here so I hope he makes me eat my words. His timing and early giving up on a play makes him look like a bad TO. Boldin PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay and be a Raven thru out your career
TJ came in a week ago and suited up last night with a new team against the best defense in the NFL and still had two huge plays on our only TD-scoring drive. When did he give up on a play? I think you're just flat out wrong...

I noticed that early but I thought in the second half especially Mason was stranded on Revis Island.
I also remember Revis getting a holding call when he was covering mason, he is that type of Cb .

4 plays over 27 yards says so...

Boldin and Heap were great and Housh didn't do anything but add an extra threat for their defense to worry about which is what I think caused all those penalties.
Housh had that clutch 3rd down catch! And he would of had a TD had he not been held all game.

Housh is an excellent number 3, and Mason, Boldin, and HEEAAP. All made plays after every situation. The craziest part is, our running game didn't carry us. Our passing game did. The Ravens are a force

I want to thank both Boldin and Housh for becoming a Raven. It is an honor to have both of you in purple this season.
You should be thanking Ozzie as well. Actually one of the gameballs was given to Ozzie last night for exactly that reason.

Idk Revis was holding on Mason a couple of time. C'mon why would you hold a 36 year old man. lol
That's what he does. Revis is a great CB but so much of his game is put on putting his hands on WRs.

Yeah. He was holding Mason by the waist when Mason was doing his double move.

NFL has to learn to stop booking us to celebrate opening/closings of stadiums.
Yeah, like I said in the Game Thread, we spoiled Dallas' last game in Texas Stadium, and we did the same for the Jets in New Meadowlands Stadium. Also, while not an opening or closing celebration, we did give Pittsburgh their first loss in Heinz Field.

Heap looked fantastic last night, making the tough catches, stretching out for catches, and getting first downs. If Heap keeps that play up all season long, Heap, Boldin, Mason, and Housh can be a scary receiving corp to go up against for opposing teams.

Man, how about Anquan, 110 Yards. Going up to get the ball and Picking on Wilson.
TJ had a couple Great Catches and one Long one from Flacco. Mason has some Solid Catches.

on a TE note, look at Heap With 72 yards of his own! If he made that touchdown catch in the endzone, the game could have been sealed early because Sanchez is just not a good NFL QB.

Receiving Core this week gets a Nice A-. Would have been a + if Heap Pulled Through.
Agreed. I have always thought the biggest problem with the Ravens passing game was that they had too many small targets for Flacco to throw to. Flacco's balls tend to sail a bit and taller targets is what he needed. Joe is gonna have a great year and Anquan is going to the Pro Bowl. All of his targets appear to be bigger, stronger, more agressive and with softer hands.

I really hope Housh gets more targets next week against his old team because I don't feel Pacman can cover him. He's a savvy route runner, still has deceptive speed and makes tough grabs.

We go from Kyle Wilson one week to Pacman the next. Some nice match-ups for Housh.

Yep. And honestly as good as Hall and Joseph are as a duo, I see Q and T.J. giving them trouble too.

I agree. It is going to be great having Housh in the slot. Seriously how many CBs that deep on the depth chart are going to be able to cover him?

Can't wait to see this offense blossom against bad D's.

Did anyone see the Patriots murder that secondary last week? It was ridiculous. Hall, Joseph, and Pacman all looked stupid. The Bengals offense worries me more than their defense and with the way our D-Line is playing I can see a tough day for Cinci.

Agreed. I think the size, strength and hands of the Ravens recievers are gonna ba a problem for any smallish size pass defenders. This include Hall and joseph of the Bengals too. That's my prediction. I just love Q with this team.

Bolden and Heap had huge a night.

I am not sure yet but I recon Boldin was the best off season aquisition.

tj had a great game, unsung hero of the game. he had only one catch but he drew a lot of penalties. he completely owned wilson to set up our touchdown. next week i see him having another big game in the slot against pacman. thank you ozzie

So the question is, does the Bengals actually double Boldin or leave him man up on whoever covers him? If they do double him, then that takes a safety from over the top, and basically leaves Heap matched up on a LB.

Or do they just play a 2 Deep zone type defense and try to keep everything in front of them? If so then the physical play of Q and TJ will be on display, plus don't be surprised to see Dickson and/or Pitta get some attempts there way this week.

The Bengals LBs and Safeties have a lot of potential but right now they are really just big named college players, none of them have had tremendous success in the NFL yet. So i look for the Ravens to attack the middle of the field with both the Run and the Pass. Then once we have some success there look for the Playaction to come into play.

Obviously the down field production will be huge from the WRs, however i think their efforts in the running game will be just as big in the Bengals game. Both TJ and Q are physical blockers and could really overpower the Bengals secondary.

I really like the matchups, or should i say mismatches that the offense will potentially be able to create in this game.

Wow what is our offense going to be like once we get Stallworth and Gaither back?

I envision something like this:
