Redskins Kicker Graham Gano

9 posts in this topic

Graham Gano is now the kicker for the Redskins, just saw him kick a FG. We cut this guy last year and kept Hauschka and he turned out to be a huge mistake.

Starting to wonder if we kept the wrong guy? Maybe Gano will turn out to be a good kicker? Although I did see him miss some in preseason against us I think....its not a big deal because we have Cundiff now but still...

He was actually signed by the Skins near the end of last season. Starred in 4 games for them in 2009 and was 4 out of 4.

But was it mistake. Perhaps. But pretty happy with Cundiff after winning the battle against the tested Graham.

I didn't realize he latched on with them at the end of last year. Good for him!

I'm just thinking if he is the real deal we could have avoided that whole FG situation last year.

He might have made the game winning FG against the Vikings...I doubt it would have helped us go any further in the playoffs. But yeah, that would have been a nice game to win.

Made a potential game-winner, but a time-out was called. Then, missed the second attempt. 52-yard attempts btw.

Fail. If they lose, you know what every one is going to be talking about ... Icing the kicker.

lol nice timeout call before Gano kicked first attempt of 52yd from the Texans. He choked on his second attempt when he realized if he missed it he will get choked by the Redskins fans.

I wonder why don't Shananhan call timeout when Texans kick field goal? at least attempt one call instead just giving up on it.

even more ironic is that Shanahan is the man who started the timeout before the kick attempt frenzy

The funny thing is, it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If he misses it, you just gave him a free pass. And if he makes it, he has to do it again under theoretically more pressure?
