Game Worn Jerseys.. Anyone Else? Besides Me

8 posts in this topic

Anyone else have a "GAME WORN" Ravens jersey!?.. BTW this is not a jersey you can BUY in a store like most people think. The stitched jerseys are not the same at all a lot of people think the expensive reeboks are the jerseys players wear and they are not.
I didn't know how much a different the jerseys are compared to the expensive stitched jerseys reebok says are authentic till Landry gave me his jersey after a game and signed the back for me.
This jersey has spandex sewn inside at the bottom of the jersey so it fits tight around or waist.. and on the side bottom so they can clip some sort of pads to it if need be and the sleeves cut off right below the shoulder(on upper arm) and are spandexed real tight!. Also the size on the sticker is diff on the inside of the jersey it says the year it was issued. Mine says 09-46 (year, and then size).

If you do not own one i suggest trying to find one weather its an AUCTION, or EBAY, especially if you plain on paying reebok a hundred fifty or more for a sewn one.. the on fields will COST quite a BIT but are very, very much worth it!! they look so much better on ya then the fake ones, and fit and feel great!. I should keep this in a FRAME but i prefer to wear it since i never seen anyone else with one. If only i had big guns :) tho to wear it without a LONG sleeve shirt underneath lol. The quality of these are so much better made also!! and soft!.

The point of this TOPIC was to see how many people on here OWN a real jersey besides myself, how they got it, and how they like it.

Do you always quote yourself?

On topic, the "fake" authentics for $50-$75 are good for me....have about 10 of them.

Sounds like a neat idea. I don't have a need to clip any pads into my jersey, so the fake authentics work for me. I'm not in to spending a bunch of money on a jersey. It's certainly cool that Landry signed and gave you his!

In terms of the fabric and construction of the game-worn jerseys, they're identical to the $300-$400 authentic jerseys that Reebok sells. The key difference (other than being used in a game, obviously) is the cut of the jersey, customized to each player's specification. The sleeves are cut to the player's liking depending on the size of their pads, and the waist area is taken in so as to ensure a better fit.

I was more bothered by the overuse of the CAPITALIZED words throughout the post, myself.

I'll stick to the Reebok-sold authentics, I don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for spandex, places to clip pads, and different cuts of the sleeves. I'm not actually playing football in my jerseys.
