Lito Sheppard

The guy is on the trade block. John Harbaugh is familiar with him. He's been to the pro bowl. Eagles just signed Assante Samuel. We need to make a move in free agency with the Browns giving away all their draft picks for potentially good D-Linemen. We could realistically trade #40.

All these and more why we should pick up Lito Sheppard.

It could happen. I have heard that the Eagles would take as low as a third round pick for him. I know our 2 round pick would be enough.

If we do get him, I shall strike ye down with 9000 "told you so's". I think with Assante Samuel signed, the Eagles will lower whatever they want for him. This could be a deal that goes down on draft day.

Fixing their offense too. If they get Donte Stallworth I wouldn't be surprised if they took the AFCN.

Ironically enough, I heard that the Patriots are interested in Sheppard. Personally, I think that he would be a great fit, but Harbaugh and Newsome are trying to set a new standard and philosophy. I think that they want to stop trading picks for players and start building our team through the draft.

id like to see rolle get cut personally. He does his job for the most part but when he gets beat it always seems like its a huge play that winds up putting 7 on the board. Id like a consistant Physical corner. And id like to see reed move back to free safety and have landry play over the top of c-mac. Rolle is a great corner but the way he runs just angers me for some odd reason. it always looks like he is about to F the whole play up but he gets alucky over throw or the Wr dropps the catch so the spot light never really stays on him. I think letting rolle go would strictly be a business move that would be greatly needed at this point.

He never seems to hold his own on the critical 1 on 1 plays where ed reed gambles and leaves him helpless. I dont know? Any DECENT, YOUNGER, CHEAPER corner available really, would work for me. The stronger the pass rush the less time a DB has to cover.

Would you rather have a Reggie White or a Champ Bailey? We just need a strong corner to protect the pass for 2-3 seconds 1-1. ivey did ok-ish playing CB in ryans scheme but it limited reed, if we could get a corner in the range of "a bigger ivey to a younger rolle" i think we'd be ok. shepard could prolly get a better trade offer somewhere else than what the ravens could offer. than again aour 2nd round 8 pick is pretty good just dont know if a shepard is worth it considering a cromartie could be there or a flacoo or DE/OL

I'm honestly pretty sure that's what we have going on right now. And I don't think Chromartie will be there. He's just exploded this offseason. Someone will jump him in the first round.

if someone jumps on him in the 1st then that means 1 of the top 32 prosepects is going in the second. which is all good with me. if ozzie sticks to his draft theme at takeing the best player available then its a win-win if he's their or not.
