It was a nail biter down to the last minute. Looks like our offense started to get going after the half.

The play calling was absolutely horrendous. How many times do you have rush for negative yards before you realize that running is not working? (This is excluding goal line situations.

I agree. If Cam plays this conservative against the Bengals I do not see a win for us. The rushing game was non-existent yet he kept on running. Even after we were successful with the passing game. I understand the conservative play calling deep in our own end of the field but in our last series he did not even try to get a first down. Rice, Rice 3rd and long. We were only about 10 - 15 yds from kicking a FG. One can only hope Cam felt this was all he needed to beat the Jets and didn't want to show the Bengals anything.

Cam's playcalling has been suspect for quite a while. It's particularly painful in the post-season. I know that most people haven't fully warmed up to Mattison, but Cam might be the coordinator who really needs to go. And I'm not just judging him by this game.

Like I saId, no way was Sanchez good enough to beat our defense. mediocre Qbs fail to the Ravens. We really controlled the game but almost let it slip away. I see growth in the team by winning a game like this.

Good Game... even our O hasn`t score many points I think they made a good game. You have to respekt Rex and his Defense they are one of the best and we move the Ball well against them! 250y Passing from Joe and over 100 y For Boldin are great numbers!

Respect for Carr he made a good play on the long pass! But the whole D was outstanding!

Keep up the good work... next week we will face a good QB with some weapons!

I really think people ate discounting how good the Jets d is. Cam called a good game to me.

I agree with you there,I was freaking out at the beginnign but then I remembered we were playing the "#1" defense from last year

I think the between the Jets D and our unhealthy O line that the offense played relatively well. We'll get better pushes with Gaither there and Yanda at RG. It's week 1, they will improve and for now knowing how well the D played makes me feel great.

Disagree with you on that...I think Cam called the plays that needed to be called to put this very aggressive defense on its heels. I give him a B+ with the exception of the pass play in the 4th quarter which was pretty much a free time out...I wouldn't have done it...but they saw something in their defense they could exploit...

But, nah...Cam had a good game plan...he used the weapons we had against there strengths

Loved Ngata's post game interview,he hit the stage and asked "is this stage gonna hold me?"
[/quote]
That was hilarious. Ngata is such a funny guy.

"Not I", he cried...I think Cams game plan was just what the doctor ordered.

He was pretty bad, but I'm not ready to pronounce him just yet... he hasn't even played 16 games in the regular season.

I didn't expect the Ravens to light them up, but when you're averaging 1.6 yards on the ground, why do you have run on every single (slight hyperbole) first down?

I thought Cam did well, except he ran at Jason Taylor a bit too much.

Didn't have much choice. The right side was getting blown up all night.

I agree. Cam was just playing conservative when he needed to against a great playmaking defense. To me, it was just smart football. Taking chances early is part of what got us behind. I actually would say Cameron made some great in-game adjustments.

This exact idea is how I know you have some learning to do on offensive play calling. You have to run the ball to keep them from dropping everyone in coverage. Even if its not much of a gain. Ray rice is the type of back that can bust it, any time.

Because the game was close and we needed to stay conservative and wait for certain opportunities. Running is our identity on offense...we can't just leave it behind because it's not working...at least not when the game was as close as it was. It was just keeping the Jets D at bay. Becoming one-dimensional is never a good idea.
