Week 1 - Baltimore Ravens At New York Jets

I love how some of the Jets fans are saying TJ will have no impact on this game because he was just signed and is new to the system. Revis isnt exactly fresh from Camp either.

And also the fact that Braylon Edwards was only with the team for a couple of days and put up a huge game for the Jets last year. At least Housh has had a full week.

I think that the scoreline will be something like 17-14 or along those lines with the winner being the team who makes the most defensive plays. Having looked at a Jets discussion thread (http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=58926), they don't have a very high opinion of our players, and seem to think they have 3 shutdown corners in Revis (fair enough), Cromartie (what?) and Wilson (the rookie who hasn't seen a regular season snap yet). They don't give us the credit I believe we deserve but I think if we win this game then it will definitely be ugly on the stats.

It's the same way with us. Most of our members don't give their players respect. Their fans don't give our players respect. We know what we have all the way to the 53rd player, the same way the Jets fans know their team.

It's all going to come down to execution like always.

My keys to the game

Jet's offense. LG needs to play solid & Sanchez needs to make good decisions. If we get a few chances downfield, Mark and the WRs need to both do their jobs.

Jets defense. Cover, cover, cover & pressure, pressure, pressure. Make Flacco uncomfortable, force him into throwing early. DBs need to cover well and LBs need to pick up Rb & TE out of the backfield

Jets ST. Pin their butts back. Get at least one turnover.

Raven's offense: Protect Flacco. Flacco needs to hit his receivers when they're open, because I don't think it'll happen often. Rice & Heap need to keep our LBs covering them so we can't blitz as much.

Raven' defense. This is easy, Chase Sanchez around all night. If you can stop our run & force Mark into snap decisions, chance are he'll make a mistake.

Raven's ST. Our return game is a little off so you guys just need to cover quickly. But our ST defense is very good, your boys will need to hold on tight.

When do the Ravens arrive in NY/ NJ ? A friend told me they dont arrive in until Monday around lunch time ?? That sounds Crazy to me .. Dont they always travel like a day ahead of time ? I assume they're driving down on the bus .. they wouldnt fly for this short distance ? Thanks Everyone

That can't be the case. The Ravens won't ever arrive on game day. Probably on Friday or Saturday.

Mine, too. Technically (based off a map I looked at), it is possible to drive down to New Jersey from Maryland, but I'm pretty sure a trip from Baltimore to the New Meadowlands stadium in NJ is due north.
