Been subscribing to that for 13-14 years now. You'd think they'd give me a discount!
Same here. They should give you a free year after every 5 years or something.

YAY!!!!!!! This will make my Sunday Better!!!

Here in NC, I have Bengals/Patriots at 1PM and Eagles/Packers at 4, as the games being shown here now I'm glad I can watch other games and even if it's for a day I don't care it's Free!!!

I have my 2 Other Games picked(as I'll be watching the Patriots/Bengals game already)

Falcons/Steelers

Colts Texans

and for the 4PM Game I'll have my eyes on the NFC West as I watch the 49ers/Seahawks and Cardinals/Rams game.

I just got DirecTV in July and I did get a deal on the NFL Sunday Ticket and it wasn't because I was a new customer. I got $20 off for 6 payments so $120 off NFL Sunday Ticket. I know it's possible to get so you should look into it. If I'm a customer that's had it for a month and got it, I'm pretty sure someone whose had their services for 10 years + would qualify for it as well. You just have to be persistent, most people just accept it and pay it in full when they have no idea they can get at least $120 off of it. If you have any questions in reference to that just contact me and I'll gladly help! Also, I got the NFL to go for FREE as well (Where you can watch the games from your computer or phone).

You really CAN get $20 a month off if you call and threaten to quit. It might be too late after Sunday, though. I called in July and got mine reduced. I told them the product was too expensive for the limited use I had for it. I mostly just watch the Redzone and I can get that cheaper from FIOS.

Warden, call and threaten to quit because of hardship, they have been known to lower it.

FIOS Sucks *sigh*

You know what, that used to work, but last year I tried it and they called my bluff. lol. Greedy *******.

Yeah, do it before Sunday... Just call and ask for the $20 off for 6 payments of the NFL Sunday Ticket. They can grant it if they want to, it's definitely something most should be able to get if they call in about it, don't let them get away with an additional $120!

You won't be sorry. Once you go with Sunday Ticket, you can never go back to being forced to watch what the networks want you to watch.

Hey guys,

Found this thread by googling "sunday ticket free trial" when I saw the ad... just so you know I called them up just now and asked for 20 bucks off since they were giving away to everyone else for free this week, and they gave it to me. Seems like they should do it by default, but at least they didn't give me a hassle when I asked for it.

Good Luck,
Go Jaguars!

no, I don't have a problem with what they charge. I made the decision to pay for it, so I could see the Jaguars play every week. That's totally my decision. But when I buy it, and then they turn around and give it away for free? I call BS. I calc'd it at 18.75 per week, so I asked for 20 bucks off my bill.. They said ok. that was it. Not that I wouldn't love to get it for 200 for the season, but I don't have any hardship paying and I believe there's no such thing as a free lunch.

No offense intended to anyone who has successfully gotten the bigger discount, I just have a problem lying about my ability to pay. They (DirecTV)make plenty of money and probably train their salespeople to be ruthless, so I don't see a moral problem with customers saying anything you want to them to get a lower price, it's just not something I choose to do.

However, when they say it's a free on a tv commercial, and its only free to everyone but the very people who are paying for it and adding to their profits, that's my line in the sand i guess..

I like your way of thinking. I'm willing to pay for it for free, but if they are giving it free to everyone this week anyways, we should get the discount for at least the first week. $20 bucks is still $20 bucks. That'll cover my fee for the survivor league.

How much is the Sunday Ticket for you guys and do you's get every game? Luckily here Shaw has offered the 2 for 1 deal again this year, NFL + NHL package(includes every game of every team including playoffs) for $199.

They should have single team tickets, im sure all fans would buy it then. I bought it two years ago, but now a sports bar opened up 5 min away.

Damn that's a deal. You Canadians have it made. I wish we had something like that here.

My Directv Sunday Ticket Bill is $299.95. Which includes all games during the day on Sunday only. You get the redzone channel plus a whole bunch of other features.

And then since I need to have the ability to watch it on my computer and phone, I pay an additonal $49.95. Now I can watch the games anywhere on my phone.

I have a feeling something like this is coming in the future but it won't happen until the contract between Directv and the NFL expires in 2014.

Directv forces you to watch all the games. They are sort of forced to do that because the latest contract extension cost them 4 billion dollars.

In 2012 Directv will provide a full mobile/computing version of their package for non directv users.

But I expect things to change after the contract expires in 2014. Ofcourse Directv is raking the money in with the Sunday Ticket, they might be able to afford another exclusive deal.

so what games are you guys going to be watching tommorow? I will be flipping between Bengals and steelers.
I want to watch some of the Texans vs. Colts - pure entertainment value. Broncos and Jags. A lot of fantasy investment in this game. and Pittsburgh vs. Atlanta.

Pretty much same here, down here in NC they are already showing the Patriots/Bengals game on CBS so my other games I'll watch are Steelers/Falcons and Colts/Texans. At 4PM I'll keep track of the NFC West by flipping between the 49ers/Seahawks and Rams/Cardinals.

I like the idea of buying Sunday Ticket to watch one team, but than again there are some that will enjoy watching all the games, so maybe there can be a full price for all the games and a lower price for just following a single team.

This is pretty cool, I like this Sunday Ticket, but if the price was better I think my dad would have got it.

For those who have DirecTV what games have you guys been watching? I have been watching mostly all of them, though I have just been watching Colts/Texans for the most part. I just been flipping back & fourth between games when they go to commercial though I have found that when 1 game goes to commercial I flip to another game and they run a play or so and they go to commercial.
