Am i the only one that saw Rex tuck his tail between his legs when responding to the Ray Lewis comments? He held his head down and looked like he lacked confidence. He appeared to choose his words carefully, he just didn't look like the bold tell you how it is Rex. I actually couldn't beleive it.

YES! it wasn't just me! i've been away at work and, just now, have been catching up on what i thought was missing..the trash talk.! and now i'm seeing the clips..and YES!!, i thought the same thing about rex....i almost thought "was that a technical delay after he was questioned? or was he still reswallowing vomit from fear of what he just started?

oh yeas, i saw something..and rex wasn't being rex..he was just a shell with a voice.

Yes, it was a technical delay, you guys are really reaching for anything.
It's your boys doin the trash talk, not us. Cromarties made a comment refering to all the new aquisitions, and that constitutes trash talk? I think Ray is looking more to fire himself up then anything else.

You can't honestly say that your mighty leader and the entire jets organiztion aren't talking....you all do NOTHING for years, then all of a sudden get a gift that is a playoff berth, and now you're the team to beat? Your QB is Mark Sanchez....nuff said!

Oh our coach talks alot, that's not even a question. He talks big about his own team, the only teams he directly talked trash to were the Pats & Phins, both div rivals. Actually, I wasn't calling for Rex Ryan as the head coach because I don't like players' coaches; they're sometimes too lax and they can lose their players just as easily as they can motivate them. The biggest reason why Rex Ryan is a dramatically different coach now in our eyes than when he was with the Ravens, is because the Ravens did a good job of taking the microphone away from him before he said too much. You never want to give your opponents extra ammunition, even mentally. It's amazing what motivation can do for some players. We hear all the time about guys talking big, but rarely is it ever backed up. Though Rex Ryan backed up some of his talk by advancing to the AFC Championship in his first season as head coach, he didn't finish the job.

first off, most likely ray was asked about revis, that is why he was talking about him. and you act like ray snapped the first time he was asked about the jets. you do realize that he has been asked the same questions daily since the schedules were made. so that whole speach, and frankly most trash talking sound bites, are provoked by reporters.

second, we like to be more low key around here so (i guess i can only speak for myself) i wouldnt like all rex's talking. that and it wouldnt be plastered all over the news because baltimore isnt the media capital of the world. and if u want to call us [b]fans[/b] out for hypocracy, didnt your [b]coach[/b] count you guys out of the playoffs before the season was over last year? then a week later hes telling everyone "no one can beat us"?

I can appreciate how people would like Rex Ryan's honesty and all, but in a game of emotions, a little diplomacy is needed so that you don't channel your emotions in the wrong place. Save the energy for the field, not the press conference. Though Rex doesn't have to actually play the game, he still has to have his mind in the game. Anyone who's ever talked any trash in their life, knows that you get heated and you lose yourself in the moment. That lack of clarity, even for a brief moment outside of a game, can translate into a lack of focus in the actual game itself. I wouldn't want a coach who'll risk calling an aggressive play out of arrogance in the wrong situation just because he wants to add a cherry on top.
