Im starting Frank Gore against KC but for my #2 back should I take Forte against GB or Steven Jackson against WAS. I am leaning towards Jackson but WAS did hold Arian Foster to a weak performance. Opinions?
While I own S-Jax in a league, I'd go with Forte. Chicago's passing game is much more sophisticated than the Rams' which will take pressure off Forte. And even he doesn't have a big day on the ground, he's been active in the passing game which should make up for the low rushing totals.

Agree with ER20. Forte is the guy. Washington has done a pretty good job with the running game. In a high scoring game, Forte might get his TDs. The same can't be said for S-Jax.

I can't belive I'm actually writing this, it feels all wrong, but in a PPR - league which 2 would you start from Ray Rice (vs. CLE), Michael Turner (@ NO) or D. McFadden (@ ARI) ?

I'm personally leaning towards benching Turner in favour of Run-DMC... Someone tell me I'm crazy? He not only has the best matchup against a dreadfull Cardinals team, but seams healthier at the moment (Turner has a groin issue, although it shouldn't keep him out)... Can someone please talk me out of playing Run-DMC over Turner?

Rice is almost a lock to get 25 touches against the Brownies so you have to start him. With the way back-up RB Jason Snelling has played going back to late last season, the Falcons may be more willing to to give Turner a rest even though they're playing the Saints. I'd go with DMC. He's running very well and will be facing a soft D.

I agree with ER20. Rice is a lock. Turner (as much as I hat to say) might not have a great of a game as D McFadden. If M Bush doesn't play , start McFadden. If Bush practices a full practice on Thursday, start your stud in M Turner.

EDIT: PPR league you might be better off going with McFadden either way.

Gore is a lock. And I'd go with M Turner. Greene isn't any different in a ppr league than Turner. And the Texans have done a decent job of stopping the run, but lets the offense get yards like crazy through the air. Can't see Felix having a huge game.

I'm starting to wonder if he'll ever have a big game. People are suggesting the five-pound weight gain he had has sapped some of his explosion. Why oh why did I draft him!

It seems Turner is slowing down beginning of the season, possibly due to groin injury. After he's out of the game on week 2, although Falcons Coach said Turner is playing week 3, I highly doubt he'll get more than 5 snaps. Prepare to start Snelling :P

You think your RB situation is bad. Here's my RB corps in ATD's league:

Jonathan Stewart
Felix Jones
Fred Jackson
Mike Tolbert
Keiland Williams
Rashad Jennings

*Ding* *Ding* *Ding*. Now that wins for being bad. I've been listing to Matthew Berry talk about Keiland Williams and I am too now thinking he might get a starting shot soon.

5 Snaps? That ridiculous. If he is only going to get 5 snaps, they'd have him inactive.

We'll have to wait and see if practices a full day today. Which I think I heard he was limited (unsure). Can't see the Falcons playing NO without their guns fully cocked and loaded. This is a divisional game, they need Turner.

Yep. Willis is just one Portis injury from getting hurt. I'm hoping he gets some touches against the Rams and impresses the coaches. Tolbert will be starting against the Seahawks on Sunday which is also good news but it's not enough to get over my disappointment with Stewart, Jones and Jackson.

i like Tolbert this week especially with matthews injured so you could be ok.

having jones and stewart must be really annoying they could be so productive!

Yep, this is an important game for them to win but they shouldn't aggravate Turner's groin injury too much if they still want him to play all season long.

Although his groin strain didn't look as much as serious, but appropriate healing like resting is better for fast recovery. If he tears groin muscle from playing NO, he might be out for a long time.

I think best bet is split carries for Snelling and Turner.

If the NO outscores them early, there won't be much running...

It is very annoying. I wasn't expecting consistency from either but I did expect at least 10-15 touches per game and some big plays. Hopefully, things improve for both.

Hey guys, thought maybe you could help me out.

1) Should I start Brett Favre or Kyle Orton? Favre has been stinking, I just picked him up off waivers, but he is playing the Lions, so he could be back to his old self again, but Im not sure. Orton has been doing decent so far.

2) Should I start Jamaal Charles or Brandon Jackson? I know Jamall could be a stud but he isnt getting the carries he needs. Jackson could get some point by just playing in Green Bays system but he hasnt yet.

What do you guys think?

I actually like Kyle Orton. Brett Favre has yet to show me he can be trusted with the football this season. It's a divisional opponent. The lions have been letting a lot of points on the board, but I suspect it will be AP that will be doing the thrashing. Denver wants to be a passing team, keep Orton in over Favre.

Brandon Jackson. Jamaal Charles will be going against a very hungry San Fran D. I can't see the 49ers fall short in this game, they will key in on Charles when he's in the game and let Cassel try and beat them. Jackson should get you some points.

Need help at the flex. Mike Sims-Walker seems to be feast or famine and I have Louis Murphy, who has looked good whenever Bruce Gradkowski is starting at QB, in the works.

Do I start:

Mike Sims Walker vs. Philadelphia Eagles
or
Louis Murphy vs. Arizona Cardinals (ranked 27th in pass defense)

Thanks.

This is actually a tough one. Louis Murphy will give you more consistency. But since we are talking flex, I'd pick MSW with hopes he repeats with what he just did. Week 1 he was matchup'd against Champ. So MSW might at minimum get you points.

OT , what's up with Sims-Walker name? I never gave much thought about it, but did he turn in his man card and hyphenate his name with his wife's last name?

His dad just died. Walker was his mom's last name and he hyphenated it with his father's last name, Sims, when he passed.
Right on. Never knew that, thanks for the reply!

Just got the note that Turner had a full practice today. Which is a good sign, practically the team is saying that they aren't worried about re-aggravating the groin. I expect Turner to be a full go against the Saints.

Which means I'll probaly be starting McFadden over a HEALTHY M. Turner... Hell has frozen over, and judgement day is nigh... [Shakes head despairingly]

Here's a question:

Brett Favre vs Detroit

or

Donovan Mcnabb @ STL
You shouldn't even have to think about that. Right now, it's McNabb. He and Santana should thrash the Rams especially with Portis not playing strong.

And now that I've said that, Brett Favre will go off for 15 TDs.

In the same boat as shawn do I bench Favre after stinking it up for mcnabb or henne
I'd definitely sit #4 for McNabb. Donovan actually looks like he's on the same page with the players around him even though they aren't an overly talented group. You can't say the same with Favre.
