Geez, I was really hoping on Gates this weekend. Waiver wire looks thin.

Health Miller (concussed), Dickerson (1 catch 7 yards, McMicheal (who plays in two minutes). Those are pretty much my choices in my money league. Sucks.

I'm assuming you mean Ed Dickson, but yeah, I wouldn't be very confident with any of those three... Owen Daniels available?.. he certainly wasn't spectacular, but Schaub looked his way early and often against us

Yep I was. I was just talking about how big of a bum Dorin Dickerson and his name must've stuck in my head.

Owen Daniels isn't available in that league. Just McMicheal, Heath Miller, Ed Dickson and Jimmy Graham. I bit the bullet and made a last second move to start McMicheals. He didn't disappoint with a very serviceable 5 for 55 (10 points in ppr league). If I do make it to the championship game , which V-Jax has greatly helped my odds. I'd feel comfortable with McMicheals again if Gates is out.

Collins has the best matchup. But his game last week was bit fluky. Garrard and the Jaguars will focus mostly on the run game. As MJD and Jennings are hot, plus Garrard is nursing a sore hammy. Cassell in a must win game but coming off surgery.

I liked Cassell at first but I'd go with Collins. We saw the Houston Texans offense get really hot. Hope they carry this over and the Titans will have to throw the ball to win. Go Collins.

Ok fellas bare with me, I have a few questions about the fantasy league. Well this is the first time I have played fantasy football, so I am playing off the NFL site because it was free and I figured it would be a good place to start for a newbie. Well I would say I did pretty good because I am in the finals next week, and I am in third place over all but am leading in points. I will be going against the number one person in my league and they have a 12-3 record while I have an 11-4.

Ok now say I win and we both end up 12-4 and I have the most points, how does that work out? Do they go on over all wins and losses or fantasy points? And what happens after that, do i just get some brag rights for winning a ten team league? Like I said I am green to the fantasy league, and don't know how all that works out since this is my first time playing. So I guess I did pretty decent for a newbie, yeah/no? Thanks for any answers you can throw my way, or any light you can shed.

it all depends on the league settings.. the commissioner can change around all kinds of stuff that make every league different. Most leagues have a playoff system, so if you're in the championship and win it, you win the league. It doesn't matter what your record was up to that point, but like I said, it depends on the league.

my first year was 4 or 5 years ago and I finished like 7th out of 10, so nice work this year. I hope you enjoyed it and have become addicted like the rest of us that post in this section of the forum lol

hey guys, another week of fantasy football, another week of questions. if i win this week, i go to the championship game.

im gonna go with Vick at QB this week vs MIN over P. Manning vs OAK. i think this is a tossup every other week for me, and im goin with vick this time.

at Rb pick 2 and a flex:
Jamaal Charles vs. TEN
Peyton Hillis vs. BAL
Leshaun McCoy vs. MIN
Michael Turner vs. NO

and at WR pick 2:
Miles Austin vs. ARI
Wes Welker vs. BUF
Marques Colston vs. ATL
Steve Johnson vs NE

as always guys, thanks so much. this is only my 2nd year of fantasy football, and im pretty excited that i can make it to the championship game if i win.

Ben against Carolina or Kerry Collins against KC? Help please!
[/quote]

Ben against CAR. he should have a very good week this week against their defense, possible 20+ points, IMO

I can't trust the burner too much. They could very well look to limit his carries. Falcons have pretty much locked up the number 1 seed. They are 99% shoe-ins for it. At this point stick to the guys you know have something to play for.

Jamaal Charles a must. KC is fighting off San Diego. He is going against a team that has nothing to play for and is a shell of its former self on D. McCoy vs Minnesota. Eagles want that first week bye and hold off the Bears. They will have to win to do so. McCoy will play a big role. I don't like Hillis this week because the Ravens are going to make sure he doesn't embarrass us again. They stack the box all day long and focus on Hillis. So I guess that would lead me to put Turner into your flex.

Colston @ ATL. NO is jockeying for a wildcard berth. Must win at all costs. ATL's secondary is suspect. Miles Austin for the mere fact he plays on Christmas. Look for that Christmas gift underneath the tree.

I feel like the Patriots aren't going to make the same mistake as they did last year. They pretty much have the #1 seed locked down. Another 99%er. So they might look to go easy on their stars.

Tim Tebow?

Im a bit nervous to start Eli Manning against the Packers. Tebow played great last week and has a favorable matchup this week against Houstons porous Pass D. Do you guys think Tebow would be a safe and solid start this week instead of Eli? I dont know if I should start him or not seeing as im in the "Super Bowl" and I need every point I can get since the guy Im playing has Vick and Desean Jackson.

I would go with Garcon, Marshall, and Welker. Harvin doesnt have a great QB throwing to him atm, and I dont think Manning will have a great game against the packers.

I wuld also go with Davis.

yeah i've got the same vick/d-jax problem. whats the betting most people with those 2 are dominating their leagues?

i think i would go tebow, the matchup seems good, broncos strong Pass O v Texans poor pass D. i'd also back tebow to run one in aswell.

So I'm in the Championship game in 2 leagues but the one im torn on i have Aaron rodgers, Big Ben and Matt Cassell, big ben is playing the Panthers but the Steelers tend to run the ball alot on ****ty teams, Cassell is meh in fantasy numbers never know if we will score high or low, my usual guy is rodgers but he's playing the Giants and coming off a concussion, any advice?

I'm in the same situation and the full practice gives me hope but since the Steelers will most likely have a nice lead and run out the clock and you're dead on about Cassel, Rodgers is your best bet. IMO

3 and that's what I did. Wallace is having a decent fantasy game though but I feel confident about my chances.

Ok I need some serious help, I am playing in the finals in my league and I have already started Mike Wallace and he got me 16 and some odd points. Now I got Vincent Jackson/ Hakeem Nicks/ Stevie Johnson and Brandon Llyod for my other wide outs that I can use for the remaining two spots. Anyone have any help they can throw my way on who maybe to start those last two spots? I mean I want to fall toward Nicks, but they are in GB and I just don't know. Stevie Johnson is at home but it's against the Pats and ol Bill. Would Jackson be a lock in any ones eyes in Cincy? Or how bout Llyod with Tebow now starting? Man any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Oh crap I almost forgot my QB spot, I had Orton and Flacco and Orton did bring me some good stuff till he decided to take a crap on the season. So I did some last ditch effort and picked up Garrard and Freeman to go along with Flacco.

You got Garrad going aginst the skins, so I don't know if they will pound MJD or let Garrard loose in the air. Then you got Freeman at home against the Seahawks, still not knowing if that should be a lock. Last but not least we got our man Flacco in Cleveland, he hooked up with Q for 3 in our house, but since Rice came alive and their run defense isn't that great would that be dumb to start Joe?
