Who To Start And Sit?

930 posts in this topic

FYI, I know a few people had a Start/Sit about Steve Smith (NYG) and Manningham.

Smith sustained a pectoral injury today in practice, so keep a close eye on that situation. If he's out Manningham would be a big play.

Hmm Bears Def against Favre and Vikes or Steelers Def vs. Brady and the Pats?
I'd go with Pittsburgh.

Joe Flacco or Josh Freeman (vs Carolina)

I want to start Flacco but Freeman is getting a lot of praise. CBS has him as their start of the week.

I'd probably go for Flacco. Freeman's going up against the ninth ranked pass defense in Carolina, while Joe's going up against Atlanta's 26th ranked pass defense. Add in Joe's better skill set and weapons around him, and I'd take him over Freeman and his legs. Regardless though, I hope Freeman does well, starting him during Rodgers' bye week.

i need a defense to start since the saints defense is on a bye. the best available on the waiver wire:
Broncos
Cardinals
Patriots
Redskins
Bears
Chargers

and is Michael Turner still a good start against us tonight? or should i bench him in favor of Fred Jackson or Mike Goodman?

Cardinals. depending on how the league scores the Cardinals are one of the top 5 scoring defenses this year. They are very opportunistic and have a solid return game. They are playing against the Seahawks who are getting back concussed Hassleback. I like them this week.

Hell no!!1 Micheal Turner over FJ and MG all the way. Just leave your fantasy rooting at home when watching this game.

Need my 3rd WR/RB option filled

Down to
Willis M
B. Jacobs
M. Crabtree

I'm leaning towards Jacobs because Atlanta has a decent run D and Crabtree will be fed by Troy Smith and we all know that's not to many downfield throws.

Thoughts?

Thanks :)

This is an easy one for me. Jacobs. The guy has been on fire lately. Picking up the short yardage as well. They get Dallas at home. The Cowboys have almost given up on the season. So I see the Giants just running the ball, then run some more.

I need to fill my WR3 Spot and i have Roddy White Pierre Garcon or can pick up Mario Manningham Anthony Armstrong or Derrick Mason just to name a few. It's a small league so if you have any under the radar guys they should be available. Anyone have any advice?

If Roddy White is a go (which he should be) you'd play him? Or were you saying you had Roddy and Garcon as WR1 & WR2 and you need one more guy for WR3? If that's the case I like Mario Manningham because it sounds like Steve Smith will be out. Derrick Mason is also a decent play. I would leave Armstrong in free agency.

Roddy White as WR3 is no joke. Go with him if its confirmed he's playing.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm a Ravens fan but I just have a feeling he won't do great this game. I'm leaning toward Manningham but if you really feel like White is gonna have a good game I'll go with him.

DISCLAIMER: Don't do anything because "I said so".

If I make a mistake, which I do often, I don't want anybody sending me hate comments. I hope White does nothing in this game as well. But he is Ryan's favorite target and he'll get tons of targets if he plays the whole game. Manningham is looking pretty good as well since Smith will be out.

Rodgers is on a bye so i'm stuck with either Kitna, Saun Hill, Mccoy, troy smith or pennington, im leaning pennington based on match ups and lions qb's plaqued with injuries.

I'd go with Shaun Hill. The Lions are the second highest scoring team this year. Impressive, I know. I figure a shootout in Buffalo. Hill is the best option you have there. The Titans are a pretty stout defense. Plus Pennington hasn't played a game in a long time. Can't put too much trust in him.

Mike Goodson becomes a great flex play this week b/c he has said he has been named the starter even though Williams, Stewart, and Sutton have not been officially ruled out (yahoosports)... last man standing w/ almost guaranteed touches against TB

I've got him starting in my flex spot in both leagues. Even if Carolina falls behind, Goodson will stay involved in the passing game.

I hope you listened to me and didn't go with your gut. Roddy White might have the best fantasy game all weekend. He gave me a painful 42.8 points in ATDs league.

Yup... That hurt... a lot... Especially since I made a last minute change at QB in that game against you, Pu... Benching Ryan for Garrard... That Jacksonville - Texans game better turn into a shoot-out...

At least Heap got more points than he projected for you. Howabout we just split our two games together? Which league would you rather have a win in?

With Steve Smith not looking good so in PPR

Danny Amendola @ 49ers or Wes Welker @ Steelers?
Danny Amendola. Not touching Wes until he does something worth talking about.

give him a break Pu... he got his owners an extra one point when he kicked the PAT <_<

I just can't bring myself to sit him because the day I do is when he'll repeat week 1.

Too bad they signed Graham. Wes would be a must start if he's kicking extra points and FGs.

I probably should want to win in er20's league, 'cause I still have a long shot at the playoffs there, but I'll take any win at this point in the season...

You know what really just grinds my gears? When the difference between 5-4 and 6-3 is the Packers defense, and they put up 28 points and I lose by 12. I hate the Cowboys even more, and d00d went from 1-5 to 4-5. I hate FF.

Mike Williams (South) vs. Carolina, Knowshon Moreno vs. Kansas City, Donald Brown vs. Cincy or Mike Sims-Walker vs. Houston for my RB/WR slot this week?
