was thinking Henne but I feel both will be throwing picks. Ed Reed all day lol but yeah Henne might get some points up
See, I'd go with Favre, but I always choose the match-up, and the Cards are a terrible team... Whereas I could see dolphins Ravens being a low scoring affair, which doesn't bode too well for Henne, he might put up some yards, but I don't think he'll get to the endzone much, whereas Favre might throw a few picks, but'll likely throw a few td's as well

I'm counting on BJE in two leagues today, he better not let me down.

Speaking of which. Who's a better start? "The Law Firm" @ CLE or the "Lone" Donald Brown @ PHI?
There you go, The "Law Firm" just got struck by the PuRock curse. I gave him my seal of approval. It wasn't really his fault. The Patriots got suckered punch in the face. This game just proves that NE is far from elite.

Cowboys have a good pass D and AAron has been suspect lately.

Rodgers is the better player and has the better matchup. That's why you should start Rodgers. But anything can happen, but you have to make the safest decision.

I'm down 128-126 but I have Ben tonight and the guy I'm playing has Mike Wallace. I'm pretty nervous to say the least. A little OT, but I just wanted to share that lol.

Is it PPR? I don't know that I would worry. Whatever stats Wallace gets, Ben will get too, right? TDs, yards, etc. both players will get.

But if Wallace has a great game which makes Ben's game great, Wallace will score a lot higher if it is a ppr league. It all comes down to TD distribution. Big Ben has to throw a TD pass to somebody other than Wallace. If he does this, then Romo should win.

If this is the ESPN league, QBs only get 4 points per TD and WR 6

Nope, it isn't PPR. But WR's will get more points if they catch bombs, which is why I'm afraid. Wallace could easily catch a 50 yarder for a TD, and get about 12-15 points, while Ben gets like 7-9. That's why I hope the Bengals blitz a lot so Ben can't look down field as much as he'd like.

Well update us to let us know how it shakes out. I think you'll be fine. That sucks if you're in a league where you only get 4 points for a TD but the receivers get 6. That will be to your disadvantage if Wallace gets a TD. I think you'll be fine. Ben will throw to others besides Wallace.

In my PPR league:
Steve Smith (Carolina)
Dez Bryant
Michael Jenkins

I'm leaning towards Dez. Smith's value plummets when Clausen is under center, and even if Pike starts, it's unknown how he'll perform. Jenkins could see an increase if White is somehow out for some unforeseen reason, but I do not see that happening. Dez is still performing well with Kitna under center, and always has the potential to break a big return.

QB: Peyton manning vs. CIN or Mike Vick vs. WAS?
RB: pick 2 and 1 flex.
Jamaal Charles vs. DEN
Ryan Torain vs PHI
Michael Turner vs BAL
Leshaun McCoy vs WAS
Peyton Hillis vs NYJ

WR: pick 2
Wes Welker vs PIT
Miles Austin vs. NYG
Pierre Garcon vs CIN
Steve Johnson vs DET
(possibly) Steve Smith(NYG) vs DAL (waiver claim in for him)

and my saints defense is on a bye, is the TB bucs defense a good pickup?

Go with Bryant too. Jason Garrett appears to have forgotten that Miles Austin is a capable WR with the ball in his hands :34853_shakehead: meaning any time Dallas runs a screen, it's going to Dez. On top of that, Kitna looks his way lot.

Start Peyton.

As for your RBs, I'd go with McCoy, Charles and Turner. All are guaranteed to get a healthy amount of touches and have the potential to score. Torain is reportedly recovering well from the hamstring injury but I wouldn't trust him this week unless you absolutely had to. Hillis is a monster but the Jets are stout against the run.

With your WRs, I'd definitely go with Johnson--he's been too good over too long of a span of games to bench. If you get Smith, start him but if not, go with Garcon. Even though I own him in two leagues, I don't even trust Austin.

That's because when you bench your studs, you'll get burned. It's the wonderful frustration of fantasy football.

Dez Bryant. He'll see the ball the most. He's getting screen passes and has a connection going with Kitna (for whatever that's worth.

Agree with ER20. Turner and McCoy. I'm afraid that Torain should have been sold high a few games back.

Pierre Garcon and Steve Smith. I still can't get myself to start Johnson. I feel like if I put the guy in, he won't get it done that one week. If you can't get Smith, I'd go with Stevie Johnson.

Like Pu said, it'll come back to haunt. Plus, what makes you feel worse, being disappointed by one of your studs or playing a guy based on his match-ups and watching your stud go off on the bench.

It's impossible to get it right. People get so frustrated with guys "they should've started." But you have to look at the matchups, the situation and play the safest bet. What happens from then on is out of your hands.

yup. your exactly right. its not like we can predict how their gonna do, injuries, etc. i definitly didnt think hillis was gonna run all over NE.
Nobody did. The way it seemed was that NE was one of the top teams in the league. Browns are not great against the pass and the Pats have Tom Brady. Conventional Wisdom would suggest that the Pats air it out and go up early, Cleveland would have to abandon the run game and pass the ball. Plus Hillis was banged up.

You take that all into consideration and look at your other backs. And if you have safer plays, you go with them instead. In your case, you have a lot of great backs.

Hillis and the Browns broke conventional wisdom. Hence, Fantasy Burn.

I'd go with Williams. He's been performing very well this season, which isn't something you can say for any Denver running back.

That's a good point, it's just that I'm a little wary of starting a WR in that RB/WR slot. Although Williams has been my boy all year coming through in the clutch, Moreno should see a lot of carries. But I'm kind of leaning towards Williams.

Well, Kansas City is 9th against the run and Carolina is 5th against the Pass. So it's more of a lesser of two evils thing, in my opinion. Williams has been performing very well, while Moreno has been a victim of Orton's great year and just a horrible team wide rushing performance.

Which one should I start? LeGarrette Blount,Or Peyton hillis.

Blount is playing Carolina, and Peyton is playing the jets.

Go with Blount. Even if Carolina gets up for this game, I can see Blount hitting pay-dirt once or twice.

Pick 2 WRs and a Flex:

WR Steve Johnson vs DET
WR Mike Sims-Walker vs HOU
WR Brandon Marsall vs TEN
WR Randy Moss vs MIA
RB LeGarrette Blount vs CAR

Right now, I'm leaning on Johnson and Sims-Walker, with Blount at the flex. I don't trust Moss in his first game with the Titans, and the former two receivers have better matchups than Marshall, who I'm not sure is a must start every week anymore. Thoughts?

Thanks.
