Ummmmmmmm Fantasy Football is a game brought down by the God's. When you play for money, especially in a league with some good friends, it's that serious.
Spoken as truth. My money league with friends is about as serious as it can go.

Would love to do a league one year where the buy in is like 1k. With money going to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Talk about business!

Ours is $100 buy in, charges for transaction and monies go to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Toughest thing is collecting the transaction fees at the end of the year.

Chris Ivory, Knowshon Moreno or Ryan Torain this Sunday???? Pick un
I have to go with Torain because he's the only guy in town. He'll get all the carries and goal line carries w/ catches out of the backfield.

But I do like Moreno to get back to fantasy relevance against Oakland. Healthy at once with no setbacks against the Jets. No other back proved viable in his absence and he's playing the 30th ranked rushing defense. I forsee 20+ touches for Moreno.

I do like Ivory but I can't see him getting as many touches as those two guys unless the game goes to garbage time. Browns main weakness is against the pass.

NO, Meachem and Chi, Knox?

Knox will see alot of balls but he never scores a TD yet.
Washington is giving up the more fantasy points to receivers than any other team. They might be able to get pressure on Cutler but he'll still get plenty of deep balls to Knox. Plus he's coming off a big game, and the game is at home.

I'd go with Knox over an unpredictable Saints receiver. They are the type of guys who you start and do nothing, then you bench and they go off.

First, the easier one. Definitely Miles Austin. You almost always start him. I'd also go with Welker.

As for the backs, I think this week Michael Turner, LeSean McCoy, and Marshawn Lynch will perform the best.

Ok guys I'm a really sticky situation. I have Gates on my team but he's officially a game time decision. My gut says that he'll play since SD needs all the help they can get with Naanee and Floyd out, but his toe is bothering him so it could get worst if he plays.

SD has a 4:15 start, and if Gates is ruled out for the game by the team, I would have missed starting Brent Celek who I got as insurance. The Eagles start at 1:15 so I really have no idea what to do. If I wait on Gates and he can't play, that would mean I have to start either Randy McMichael or Kevin Boss lol. Should I sit Gates for Celek?

Start Celek if Heath Miller isn't available anymore. The reason I say that is because I was able to pick up Heath Miller to replace Antonio Gates and I believe he'll have a better game than Celek. But anyway yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath for Gates. I have him in one of my teams and I benched him.

hines ward? surely he'd need a TE to replace gates?

Hines is taken already. Gates has a mean streak of starting like 80 games, so he very rarely misses any time, and San Diego is pretty much in panic mode at this moment so they need Gates and he knows it. But I just feel like Celek is due for a good matchup with the Titans, and if Gates plays, will he even be used as much, or just as a decoy? Hopefully a report will come out tonight, even though a lot of beat writers feel like Gates is a lock for Sunday.

I think in his league, he has that WR/TE option, where you don't need to put in a TE every week. Celek is pretty much my only option besides Gates in my league.

ah that explains it.

i'd start celek, he's fully fit and i think Kolb really likes to throw his way especially when under pressure, which could happen alot this week

I meant Heath Miller sorry. I edited my original post. If you can't get Miller, then I'd start Celek over Gates I think. I wouldn't count on Gates. He might play but I can't see him contributing too much, at least not putting up the fantasy points that he usually puts up.

I'm expecting Gates to go, but I picked up Randy McMichael as a stop gap if he doesn't. McMicheal has practiced with the first team all week, if Gates couldn't go, he'd be a big sleeper. And without Floyd and Nannee. I could see McMicheal putting up some decent stats.

Ugh..IDK PU, that's quite a risk to pick up someone who might not even start instead of using someone who will definitely start and should get at least a few points like Celek.

Unless you can afford the risk I guess...from having other players who consistently put up good numbers week in and week out on your team.

After re-reading your post, I guess that plan doesn't sound so bad. You start Gates if he starts, if he doesn't start and they play McMichael, then you give him the go.

Yea. Plus only pick up McMicheal if you have the room for him. I'm definitely not advising cutting any other average TE for MM. Ofcourse you hope that Gates plays, but if he doesn't McMicheal should be good for a few points. The Pats are exactly the best at gettting to the QB, which should leave McMicheal free at times.

All I know is I would hate to have Gates on my bench if he plays. He has been one of the best fantasy producers this year.

If you can't fit McMicheal's onto your bench, then start your other TE (ie Celek). But ofcourse you're playing with Risk. But I'm willing to risk it if theres a chance Gates plays.

Yeah, but even if Gates plays, not sure we would see a normal performance out of him. That's why I just went ahead and benched him and picked up Heath Miller for this week.

We'll see how it shakes out.

I'm not getting fooled by that "what can we expect out of him" again. That was my exact thinking when I benched Calvin Johnson for Hakeem Nicks and lost last week. If Gates is playing he's good to go, only thing that would hinder him is if he has a set back during the game.

But our situations are a bit different as well. You have Miller who is a good play against the Phins. Romo has Celek who is a decent play w/ Kolb. I have no other. My only option off the waiver would be Ben Watson. So I'd rather take the high risk.

LOL I got burned on Calvin Johnson as well.

Watson could have a good game. That's risky as well though. He had a good week last week.

Hmmmm.....that's a tough one.

Is this a ppr league? If not. I'd go with D-Will. The Panthers will look to fix the run game after the bye. They have SF traveling to the east coast for a 1 pm game. I'd have to go with D-Will.

But both Torian and Moreno have a shot of putting up great numbers as well.

David Garrard isn't starting today for anyone who may have him starting
Also Ernest Graham is inactive for Tampa. Which would mean that Caddy will get a lot of guaranteed touches.
