NHL 11

I've been playing the demo and the game is great. I can be a little biased though cause i'm a huge hockey fan. the new hitting system is great, love doing the hip check and missing the check and allowing the other team to score...
i will say i like them adding in the broken sticks, but in one game i had 2 break in a row. also they finally added a review system, i hated playing otp on nhl10 and the game ends on a high stick goalin OT:/

all in all i'll be getting it.

The NHL franchise is light years ahead of Madden in terms of game play and being realistic. The NHL games are so beyond sick its not even funny.

I tried playing the demo and kept getting my butt handed to me. I'm not a real hockey fan, but I love the video games.

As a sports fan who has gotten multiple copies of nearly every sports video game, I agree, the NHL series is absolutely far and away the best sports gaming franchise there is. Even when the season is over I still find myself hooked to the game and fiending for the the new game to come out, or even the demo.

What's everybody's favorite game mode? I'm currently in my 4th be a pro year, signed with the Caps during free agency instead of going back to Colorado who drafted me.

Be a Pro is too easy for me against the computers. So I hit up online team play, vs against buddies and than I do a fantasy draft franchise. Those are the game modes I play the most.

Good thing you missed out on NHL 10 Pu cause it was total GARBAGE, 09 blows it out of the water, but neither touch NHL 11.

It's funny how they finally add in broken sticks, I remember probably 7-8 years ago saying they should put that in the game. Took them a while.

I use sliders that to me make it very difficult and realistic.
Ah, broken sticks. I can understand a few broken sticks per game, but I swear every other shot results in a shattered stick. That, and getting tapped on the shoulder and in turn "dropping" your stick halfway across the rink.

I counted, and it took me 14 games to break my first twig in 11, you must take a lot of clappers and one T's. I'm all about the dangles and saucing it where momma puts the cookies.

It hasn't happened as much as I said since I set the sliders on BAP. With my character, I don't take any slappers ever. It seems like whenever the players are tired they are more likely to break a stick on any kind of shot really.

Played my first few games of online NHL last night since before the crash. Went 3-1 to boost my record to 16-2.
