I am tired of these unrealistic threads about the Ravens picking up big name players. Dream on guys, with all the stars on our D, theres no way we are going to afford anyone like Barrion, Kerse, or Johnson. We will be lucky if we can sign our draft picks. But to get to the point, with the recent release of Mike Anderson and Mike Flynn, does anyone know of some unsung heros or "sleepers" that are free agents that will fit will with our new look and that we can accually afford? Free Agency starts today...so we shall who Harbaugh thinks we can afford.

And does anyone know how much room Anderson and flynns release opened up?

According to NFL.com, a former first round draf pick from the 49ers Kwame Harris is a sleeper in this draft, since our line needs an upgrade...do you think he is worth taking a look at?

Your wrong dude we can afford free agent big name players if we cut other players we dont need

if we restructure ray lewis contract thats 9-10 mill right there

if restructure c-mac's contract thats another 5mill

we cut boller thats 3 mil

we cut rolle thats 3.9 mill

we restructure mc9's contract thats 5-6 mill

if Jo retires thats another 2 mill additional to his restructured contract

it can be done. the question is will it happen? and who knows?

with ozzie cutting flynn and anderson within days especially right b4 free agents means ozzie is planning on shopping free agency, so to say that everyone is dreaming is really all anyone can do. just play out different scenerios.

just because the cap is tight now by next year it will be a LOT better so ozzie can afford to sign big names bcuz of future cap space the only hitch is how to free up the current cap. and so far it seems that ozzie is making smart moves.

There's ways around cap issues, look at the Redskins, there always way past the cap and somehow manage to sign a big name free agent.

It could happen. Look at the contracts of Reed and McGahee. Both contracts are worth more then 30 million but they both count less then a million against our cap. It can be done, we just have to find a guy thats willing to take a lot of bonus money.

i think it all comes down to the mathematical aspect of the whole contract deal with different players out there in this league as it has always been. what you may see on side of the deal, may not entirely be the "whole" picture and you may be only looking at one side of it.
