Around The League Week 1 2010

Well folks I did this last year and got mixed reviews,most for the better.

Let me explain why I do this thread first.Some people who come here,do so while at work,or during the Ravens or any football games.Some can't access NFL.COM,ESPN,or any sight to get updated scores,so I update them.

Also this helps the boards from being to conjested with Game threads that may only get 1-2 pages.Hopefully people come here to discuss the non Ravens games.

1) Each week gets its own thread, so as to avoid one long, jumbled mess by season's end.
2) Marquee games (primetime matchups or key AFC North matchups or games that directly affect the Ravens' playoff chances) may get their own thread only if someone starts it; otherwise all random posts about games that don't fall under those three parameters will be moved to this thread.
3) We're playing it by ear; it'll be difficult to set a standard probably until we get a couple of weeks in.
4) The priority will always be with the Ravens Game Threads, so Mods cannot police things at a moment's notice; please use the Report button to aide in these efforts, rather than quote and reply.

This section was suggested from a mod on these boards, mostly to assist those with slow computers who can't access sites like NFL.com or ESPN to get instant updates.

Now I am tring to find the best way to do this,so any suggestions will be lisytened to as of now the front page will have a post for each game and I will update those post as games go on.

So please feel free to talk about the other games that are going on around the league.I will try to make it fun through the season,and will update leaders and such after a few weeks.

Oh my lawds...

Personally, I think this is a good idea. The only issue is that it could become so jumbled, putting all the games in one thread. Posters will probably become confused with 15 different topics-within-a-topic floating around. That said, I fully support it and wish this thread well! It'll be good to discuss and see what the other teams are doing, especially since we don't play until Monday night.

By the way, you can take out the Ravens/Jets game. We've got that covered

and hopefully it wont be that confusing just click on the thread and discuss what you are seeing or highlight you may have seen I feel it gives us something to talk about when we aren't playing.I really got into it last year it was fun,ecspecially when people participated

Are you really going to update like 10 games at a time? We should have volunteers edit certain games, i.e., people who want to cover one game should post in the front page before someone else does. For example I'm in NY so I can cover a Jets/Giants game since I'll probably be watching it anyway.

yup did it last year I get mobile texts for every scoring play thru espn.but hey I can keep that in mind for next week and have people cover the other games,I'll have my own field reporters lol

Saints. The team that has won the superbowl hasn't lost their opening game in 10 years. That's not half bad. Plus the Saints are at home with a loud Superbowl.

The Vikes are hobbling in. Their defense is aging. Brett Favre is an enigma.
