14 posts in this topic

Myself and about 20 friends are looking to tailgate with a big group of Ravens fans for the opener in NY next Monday. Anybody know of anything being organized?

Hey Hook did you figure out where you guys will be tailgating yet??? I’m heading up there with some friends from Orlando and am looking for people to hook up with to tailgate with.... We will have our beerpong table with us and of course tons of tailgating essentials... Let me know if you have something concrete...Thanks

If I hook up with all the bus road trip folks staying at my hotel, i'll try and get on here and let you know where the Raven high concentration will be. I have a yellow parking pass.

Purp, that would be great if you could do that. I def want to tailgate at the stadium and not just with my wife in the hotel room...no dice. I work for a liquor store, so I can pitch in.

I decided to take the train in from Secaucus Junction, and look for large concentrations of Ravens fans in the tailgate lots. We'll just bring our own food & beer in disposable cooler. Someone please wave a Ravens banner high and we'll find you.

btw: a few years ago we set up a Ravens banner on the trunk lid of a rental car in the first row outside Candlestick park. Opened the rear deck to expose something to drink. Within an hour or so, we had a tailgate party of approx 40 Ravens fans, nobody knowing anyone else. It was a blast!

We may actually take the train in as well. That, or rent a car since we have a parking pass.

Im afraid to even get out of my rental car with a jersey on! All I can picture is key scratches and boot marks when I come back.

Its been decided. I'm going with the black Suggs and the wife will wear her black Flacco. O and D covered.

I would never take the train in. We arrived via train yesterday morning as the Giants fans were taking the train to the stadium. Even THEY let us have it for being a non-New York team.

Juvie. The bus people are going to a restaraunt named Redds before the game and shuttling over and then back after. We are just going to hit lot J and hope for the best.

I'd love to be there, sounds like a great time.
Have a good time everyone and be safe, it could get brutal out there.

Totally opposite conclusion. We took the train and were really pleased with he results: 40 minutes total time in transit from stadium exit thru Secaucus Jct & about two minutes onto the NJ Turnpike. As we rode out of the Meadowlands complex last night, we observed total gridlock. Except for a couple of drinks whom we ignored, we had no problems with the literally hundreds of Jets fans we encountered.

We will revisit this stadium next month for Navy-Notre Dame. We are contemplating canceling our current plan of the hotel shuttle in favor of taking the train again.

Wish I would have seen this thread earlier. Just getting back to posting on this mother. Me and my buddy had a great time at the game. We ran into one Jerk, and we decided to let him live so the trip was a GREAT success. We even took the liberty to rename the stadium to "M&T North"! Here are a couple of videos I took with my phone.

Whoh, I was right there! That bus pulled up and we all lined up to give high fives as they got off.

That was right around the time the hundreds of Ravens were chanting "GIANTS STADIUM!" at the Jets fans. I was so lucky to random park and be 80 yards away from the bus parking. That was a party.
