Haha okay. When I saw Reubens I was like..."Who???".

Posting from my Evo. My keyboard sometimes finishes words incorrectly. In this case it thought I wanted to say Ruebens instead of Divens.

About Troy Smith, written this morning. Basically stating other teams around the league could be interested in players from the Ravens being that we're one of the most talented teams and waiting for us to cut players or make deals.
That's a fan-written article, so the league's interest in our players could all be hyperbole.

Credibility aside, it's still not too much of a stretch to say that teams are interested in the roster moves that the Ravens will make today; we've seen many of our homegrown guys coveted in the media by coaches, as well as the wealth of praise heaped onto Ozzie Newsome every year in the offseason.

It was during training camp. I think Haloti Ngata ran into him or something like that.
Oh, yeah... thanks.

Chris Chester can play center...just not that well. He's serviceable, though.

I didn't think Hale was all that great either, but that's just my opinion, of course.

Denver is considering trading Alphonso Smith for a 5th. If they dont get any takes he will be let go. I have no comment on him being considered for the Ravens.
I know he hasn't been what they thought he was, but to want to part with him already? Wow.

Yeah I know what you mean. Denver traded its 2010 first round pick (14) to move up in 2009 draft to get him at pick number 37. It would seem he has some talent to consider. Mayber they just didnt know how to pull the talent out of him. HMMM>>>

The Barnes trade still pisses me off.

Could be a sign of something bigger.

I'll never understand a move like that. He had a great career at Wake Forest. I'd be all for bringing him in, especially if they flat out release him.

I would consider bringing him in for a look. He definately has talent. Im not saying he is better than anyone on the roster now, but who knows.

Curtis Steele cut.
Saw that one coming, should sign him to the PS.

This is not really a surprise. I dont even think they will consider him for the practice squad even if he clears waivers. I wasnt impressed.

We traded Barnes to get a 5th to get Smith. Doubt it.
I don't think that was ever determined a possibility.

They'll try to. All he needs is some more weight on his lanky frame.

His balance impressed me. He was hit or appeared to be wrapped up a number of times behind the line but stayed on his feet. Like MoonTooth said, a year in an NFL weight room should help him.

Steele is cut, but he looks like he's going to the PS. That's good. I like the guy. He made something out of nothing that last preseason game.

There are 25 more rbs out there with the same talent. We are fine at rb depth. Id prefer to put someone on the practice squad that we could develope to contribute should someone go down during the season. Especially at OL or CB.

I kinda figured. I wouldn't mind seeing Smith brought in if he ends up being cut.

I'm not convinced of that and I'm not sure Ed_Reed20 is, either. We may be fine at RB now, but let's be honest: McGahee is at most a few years from the end of his tenure here. It couldn't hurt to keep a guy like Steele on the practice squad.

I don't think people realize how undersized he is. This is coming directly from the Ravens' roster:

Ray Rice: 5'8", 212 lbs

Willis McGahee: 6'0", 235 lbs

Curtis Steele: 6'0", 190 lbs

That puts it in perspective.

I'm not saying the Ravens should sign him to the practice squad but he did some things that impressed me and he's got the frame to add bulk. I agree that there are other positions that the team would be better served to invest in.

Did you forget about Parmale? Matt Lawrence is on IR but will or should be back next year. Both are far better in my opinion. I would rather have someone on the PS that could possibly be used this year should the situation arise.
