Freeing Up The Cap

I'm sorry I was wrong before!!!!!!!! It is now 116 a boost from last years 109!!!!! 123 is a possible figure but has yet to be confirmed...its been going up and up and up as it was only 85.5 in '05

go to howstuffworks.com and look up nfl salary cap

basically the cap increases as the nfl revenue increases. i think a certain % of total revenue gets equated into the salary cap based on the collective bargaining agreement

whatever that % is of total nfl revenue...jerseys, tickets, gear, anything really with nfl on it ect...gets divided by 32 and thats the cap for that year. Basically invest in the nfl and your contributing in raising the cap. im not sure when the total figures are tallied up for the year but i know 08 is going to increase to 123 whether that means it takes place b4 the season or after im not sure. i think thats whats being debated now amongst the league and players association
