With the Ravens releasing Anderson and flynn within a matter of days, is that a sure sign ozzie is hitting the free agency? And if so who do you think we're pursuing?

I think he is making space for our rookies and to give Suggs and Brown long term contracts. If we do dip into free agency it would probably be for Andre Dyson formerly of the Jets. To add depth at corner because Ozzie wants to do something else in the draft.

it will be 123...it was set to increase following the conclusion of the 2008 season

i dont see why not....im sure that All teams will get a little more cushion and room to move around with just a tad more flexability, which could (more often than not) end up in teams being able to afford more players they would want on their team rather than say they didnt. and only wished they had.

not totally sure on that because seeing how they dont exactly give us the exact number and whatever else...we can only speculate as to how much......i think we have a fair amount though and with this added room...we could have even a little bit more.

i think we have at least 8-9 million to work with...it very well could be more than that, seeing how they dont give that info to the public (at least not right away) we can only guess.

Rolle i feel we should keep for his veteran leadership, play making ability, mentorship of the younger, and overall skill level.....he can both have a positive impact on the Game itself playing, as well as Benefiting the younger guys watching him because he gives them someone to look off of and study from the right way.

he offers us some different options that we could go with, and offers us certain options in the defensive schemes that could only work if he were in fact in and on the field at that particular point in time, all players have their Key areas in which are a necessity for any one team, and it shows on the field with their performances on how they approach and deal with that fact and the end result of it being either Negative or Positive.

not like we "need" rolle, dont forget about c-mac he brings just as much knowledge to the table for rookies as samari does. If anything were to happen with rolle being cut it wouldnt be until after the draft sometime. There are certain dates for releasing certain players that affect how much money they get and how it will impact the cap. i think its june 1st. anything b4 is a certain amount, anything after is a lil more.

and in saying that...."cant forget about C-Mac" we most certianly can not forget about either.... because Both, not just one or the other But BOTH players contrivute to this team, us as fans may not see it as often but as for the players and coaches with them every practice, every game and such....and see the tutoring and the overall mentorship of the veteran players, only implifies the fact that we do in fact need rolle, because plain and simple..... he's as much a part of this team and franchise as any other Raven Palyer out there and that goes for ALL Raven Players out there, not just one or two...the entire team.

I wish we had the Cap space to play the FA market to fill a need. Not having a 3rd rounder this year is going to hurt even though we may get a comp for AD. We have a few holes that need to be filled and can't fill em all through the draft this year.

That's exactly how I feel. Except for the part about Cmac playing safety. It's too late now though, we have to wait till after June 1.

I'm sorry I was wrong before!!!!!!!! It is now 116 a boost from last years 109!!!!! 123 is a possible figure but has yet to be confirmed...its been going up and up and up as it was only 85.5 in '05

Something tells me the cap is going to be $116M... also, why does it feel like we almost NEVER have any money come free agency time to sign impact players? If only we had cap room and a QB we might have been able to land Randy Moss =/

Musa is a free agent. They cant cut him because he doesnt have a contract.

besides, from i saw of Smith last season, he proved that he can in fact stay healthy and get that extra yardage for his team whenever he is put into the game....Mike Anderson, i see why we let him go, in being we brought him here in the first place with the knowledage he was going to be the full time starter, but then we picked McGahee up and he took a back seat as things took off for McGahee. But Smith i would at least HOPE they make some effort to re-sign.
